On tap at Good Karma. Pours a fairly clear golden amber with a medium sized white head. Wheat and a soft touch of cucumber, musk. Nose of cucumber, light hops. Golden with a nice white fluff. Flavor is burnt malt, cucumber, sea salt, lemon zest, light acidity. Surprisingly long finish of sweet /unusual malt, and some cucs.

At their brewpub, pours hazy golden with small head that fades into a ring, not much lacing. Nose is fresh cucumber, watermelon rind, and light earth. Flavor is salt, cucumber, dry hops, and green earth. So refreshing and well executed

On tap @ Fieldwork. Turbid orange beer with a finger of white foam. Notes of cucumber soda, some salt, lemon juice, and acidity. Despite having a Saison yeast strain, don’t necessarily get a lot of the typical ester or phenol character. Tap at Harry’s Hofbrau in San Jose. Slightly hazy pale yellow with moderate white head. I didn’t get much of the cucumber here at all, and also lacked some of the characteristic gose qualities. Tap. Pours hazy golden, small white head, decent lacing. Aroma is salty, citrus, yep, cucumber, wheat. Flavor is light tart, definite cucumber but not as off-putting as I had feared, sea air, citrus. Light body. Note bad, actually.
