Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Kenny. Pours deep black-brown with creamy, tan head. The nose has some burnt peanut butter, chocolate, moderate roast. Medium sweet flavour with more hearty chocolate, lightly tangy berries, ash, woody dryness. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Dry and ashy on the finish, some woody dryness, boozy warmth, dried leathery berries. Not bad.

Bottle share at One Canada Square as ’Fierce Beer Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Cafe Racer’, 9%. Black, opaque, foamy light brown head. Aroma is chocolate, ash and vanilla. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is quite spicy, chili, chocolate, coffee, some pepper, more spice. Quite rich coffee, sugary, spicy. Interesting beer. Maybe better with a touch less spice.

gegwilson (3837) - North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JAN 1, 2017
Bottle in the Salt Horse, Edinburgh. Pours black with no head. Lovely vanilla, coffee and bourbon aroma. The taste is a little sour with coffee, bourbon, vanilla and a little booze. A little rough alcohol. OK, but a bit unrefined and thin.
