Keg at The White Horse Old Ale Festival, Parson's Green in Nov 2017 - Opaque black in colour. Good creamy beige head. Coffee and chocolate aroma. Malty; roasty malts, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, caramel. Fruity; dark fruits; raisins. Bit spicy. Hoppy; moderate hop bitterness. Great depth of flavour. Super smooth. Sweet roast chocolate and coffee malty fruity throughout. Enjoyed this. Very drinkable. (2017-11) Stuartyboy (1780) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - DEC 10, 2017
Bottle from Aberdeen Angus deep dark malty beer with coffee vanilla aroma flavour is creamy vanilla with coffee and hints of chocolate EdButterfield (41) - Dronfield, Derbyshire, ENGLAND - NOV 9, 2017
Keg @ The Clarendon, Leamington Spa. Amazing strength of dark chocolate on the nose, a little too cold in the mouth (but that's the pub's problem), a deep and rich finish with chocolate, roasted coffee and some notes of dark forest fruit. Medium body means that it's a touch thin on the mouthfeel, but the taste more than makes up for it. A truly fine beer, recommended to all. Icedwarf (1842) - Etten-Leur, NETHERLANDS - OCT 8, 2017
Zwart bier zonder schuim. Smaak is bitter en krachtig met duidelijk koffie, bittere chocolade en ietwat vanille en rook. Erg goede smaak balans.

330ml bottle at home on 2/3 Jul 2017, from Good Spirits Company, West Nile Street, Glasgow, coffee, vanilla aroma, very dark brown near black with a thin rapidly disappearing head, earthy, roast, coffee, vanilla, oily, dry bitter finish. colui72 (1118) - HONG KONG - JUL 2, 2017
Dark brown with a large and not lasting brown head. Some spotty lacing. Strong aroma of freshly ground coffee beans and vanilla. Smooth on the lips, tastes of ground coffee beans and vanilla, with dark chocolate, plums, smoke, herbal hops. Medium bodied, oily feel, softly carbonated, long finish and lingering after taste. Not too bitter, rather sweet with some tart notes, very tasty and distinctive porter. tiong (7672) - Espoo, FINLAND - JUL 1, 2017
330ml bottle from Brewdog.com. BBE 30/12/??. Pours pitch black with a smooth light brown head. Nice aroma of vanilla, coffee, roasty malts, chocolate, mocha, espresso and cocoa. Taste is sweetish, slightly roasty and ashy with loads of vanilla, coffee, chocolate, cocoa and hints of herbal hops. Finish is sweetish and smooth with some roastiness, loads of vanilla, cocoa and chocolate. A bit of a vanilla overdose. CH-303 (2386) - Fribourg, SWITZERLAND - JUN 30, 2017
