on tap @ Fifty West / Cincinnati OH --- Clear dark ruby brown color, tan rim head, a few lace strips. Taste is full-bodied malt that adds carbonation on the swallow as well as a little chocolate nougat. It then cruises to a lightly bittered medium finish. Nicely done 50belair (3657) - Florida, USA - OCT 15, 2013

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear brown with a thin tan head. Aroma of caramel malt, chocolate malt. Flavor of chocolate malt, light nutty and earthy malts, and a sweet finish. Not too sweet like some brown ales. A tasty, robust brown ale.

Draft in a sampler at Fifty West. Pours a clear brown color with gold highlights in the slimmer part of the glass. Light aroma of nuts, toasted malts, earth, and just a little bit of roasted chocolate. The flavor is more robust, with toasted, caramel, and chocolate malts and not much else. Just nice and malty. Light-bodied and smooth, with moderate carbonation. Good brown ale.

Draft. Pours brown in color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma is moderately sweet chocolate, lightly toasted, with a subtle hint of coffee. The flavor is chocolate malts, light coffee notes with a mild earthy note. This is creamy in texture and very easy to drink. Better than most brown ales. b3shine (8935) - Indiana, USA - DEC 14, 2012
Draft to pint. Looks good; dark brown with off-white lacing. Smells roasty and malty. Tastes like it smells with hints of chocolate and a solid mouthfeel. A good example of the style. Tmoney99 (14612) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 3, 2012
Draft at Fifty West Brewing. Poured a clear dark brown color with an aqverage creamy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted chocolate malt and nut aroma. Medium body with a smooth slick texture and soft carbonation. Solid balanced toasted sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Good complex brew.
