on tap @ Fifty West / Cincy OH --- Clear brown color, off-white head cover, a few lace streaks. Aroma of musty malt. Taste is semi-sweet malt that grows into a mildly hopped finish in which the sweet coasts easily through a long end. Quite nice. phaleslu (10957) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 15, 2016
Draft at The Brass Tap-U Square, served in a flight. Pours a clear brownish amber with a small off-white head that laces the glass and settles into a film. Notes of toasted malts, brown sugar, caramel, and leaves. So simple and straightforward. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet, smooth mouthfeel. Good, easy drinking brown ale. No fuss. Pint on tap at the brewpub, for $6. Nice nutty, earthy aroma. Good bit of earthy hop here. Mild caramel, more toasty malt. Hint of chocolate. Mostly clear red amber brown color. Ring of off-white head, some loose bits of lace. Medium body, with a decently full feel. Smooth, kind of crisp, light carbonation, with a mild tingly spiciness to it. Moderate bitter taste, lighter to moderate sweet, decent dryness to it. A solid, crisp, earthy amber / brown ale.
