COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Belgian Style Witbier gains its complexity from its malt, yeast and spices. We start with organic oranges hand zested to bring out the citrus flavor and aroma. The wheat, oats, and yeast adds a touch of creaminess and cloudiness to this 400-year-old Belgian tradition.

Sample on tap. Hazy pale yellow color. Minimal white head. Soft crisp carbonation. Dry texture, lighter body. Good orange zesty sweet. Nice orange peel aroma and Belgian yeast in the body. Nice, tasty wit beer

Draft in a sampler at the brewpub. Pours a pale, cloudy yellow-gold color with a small white head. Aroma of wheat, white bread, cream, plastic, lemon, and coriander. Flavor of lemon, orange, oatmeal, wheat, pale malts, bread, and mellow spices. Light-bodied, with a dry, wheaty mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Decent wit.

Draft. Pours a hazy golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma was very mild, but I did get some yeast and spices. The flavor is lighter malts, yeast, mild spices, clove and a light fruity note. Probably my least favorite of the sampler.

b3shine (8874) - Indiana, USA - DEC 29, 2012
Draft to taster at Fifty West. Looks solid; a lightly cloudy light gold with off-white lacing. Smells sweet, doughy, and citrusy. Tastes like it smells with a good mouthfeel. A solid example of the style.

Draft sample. Poured cloudy golden color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy yeast, spice and sweet citrus aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy spice sweet flavor with a medium to heavy citrus sweet spice finish of moderate duration. My expectations where exceeded.
