650 ml bottle. Pours a hazy golden amber with a small white head that has good retention and leaves a lot of small spots of lacing of lacing on the glass. The aroma is oak, caramel, and is quite fruity with pineapple, plum, and fig. There is also some bourbon and a bit of alcohol. The taste is sweet with caramel and oak. There is also some pineapple and tropical fruit as well as a bit off bourbon. The finish has a bit of alcohol, some bitterness, and a light astringency. Medium body. Medium-low carbonation. Not bad. Not great. The tropical fruit notes remind me a bit of Gratitude.
Tap at Takanoya. Nose is vanilla, honey, whiskey. Cloudy pale brown color. Sweet vanilla, hone, whiskey. Soft, oily, silky. Nice. KansaiBeerLvrs (5363) - Kyoto, JAPAN - NOV 13, 2017
Tap at Takumiya.
A blond barrel aged barleywine that is a muddy orange in appearance. The nose is big oaky tannic aroma that is a bit sweet. Medium to full bodied, this a bit boozy and sweet, tannic, oak, charr, dried fruits. Good but full on. This is pretty solid with a good barrel character presented with balance.

On tap at beer NV. Eight-ounce pour. Deep cloudy amber. Thin off-white head. Lots of caramel and oak. Earthy spice too. Deep and malty. Complex overall with a rich bittersweet finish. A very nice sipper. bergstaden (3180) - Røros, NORWAY - OCT 14, 2017

This beer pours a clear golden color with a medium thick frothy white head that diminishes gradually to a film. Patchy lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of bourbon, toffee, dark fruit and malt. Full-bodied with flavors of rye whiskey, dried fruits, caramel malt and fruity hops. The finish is spicy rye and bourbon. Pretty good all around. barrelagedluv (54) - Pittsburg, California, USA - APR 30, 2017
Fans of JW Lee British old style ale rejoice! Pours nicely into brandy snifter, a healthy sudsy foam gives rise to a murky, muddy swamp water with sediment in flux. Such an earthy, sweet bourbon aroma...the barrel aging was impeccable in smoothing the strong ale’s rustic taste. A sweet boozy raisin taste, is balanced by a silky whisky vanilla finish. This isn’t a beer, it’s art my friends. Cheers fifty fifty Geokkjer (7647) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAR 11, 2017
bottle, courtesy of bergstaden. Pours deep golden with an off-white head. Aroma of malt, some fruitiness, dried fruits, rye and caramel. Flavor is sweet and malty with some caramel, honey, warming alcohol and dried fruits. Medium body, average carbonation. yngwie (17234) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAR 11, 2017
Bottle, 22oz, shared by cunningham. A hazy dark golden-colored beer with a minimal sized light beige head. The aroma is sort of boozy, with loads of piney and resiny hops and a touch of sugary malts. It’s full-bodied, warming and nicely carbonated, with a good bitterness. Pine cones, resins and some sugary malts in the flavor, with some caramel notes. Lasting finish with bitterness, pine cones and resins. Not my favorite from FiftyFifty, too boozy I think, but it’s sure a fine brew. 170311 Meilby (11690) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAR 11, 2017
