Tap @ brewery. Dark, burgundy brown body, clear, creamy, off-white head that lasts and coats the glass in sheets. Sweet, malty aroma of toffee, caramel, vanilla, very mild oak, brandy. Body is medium, wet, light soft creamy carbonation. Flavor is sweet, caramel, toffee, sour oak, vanilla, booze, and a surprisingly hoppy grapefruit finish that is somewhat harsh. A little young. Sticky. Tasty. marcus (10670) - Sacramento, California, USA - JAN 17, 2011
On tap at the brewpub. Pours reddish brown with a thin beige head and a treacle and whiskey aroma. There is a hearty malt flavor with a bitter alcohol finish. This brew is the result of blending two excellent, but different, beers and aging it in several barrels. BART is an acronym for "Barrel Aged Really Tasty" and is an appropriate name. I really enjoyed this one.
