"You’d think for a person that likes rye in just about everything would like a rye Charlie Brown...but I’m not convinced this is the same base in any way but name. Light chestnut pour. Weak soda like watery body. Flavor and aroma are decent but definitely a sweet slightly spicy but generic step back from the supposed base, an the abv is about 25% lower. Oh well..."

Tap at Stone thanks to womencantsail. Poured clear deep red with lower carbonation. Weaker foam. Nose is malty, sweet chocolate, cocoa mix. Taste is malty, some odd sage spice, light cocoa. A bit bland overall but simple and drinkable. Perhaps a touch of cardboard in the finish.
