22oz bottle, thanks to b3shine. Bottle says #146. Also, my first non-Eclipse FiftyFifty beer. Clear dark brown color. Little bubbly khaki head. Lots of dots of lace. Lightly roasty nose, some alcohol warmth evident in the smell. Medium to bigger body. Very light carbonation. Smooth, easy to drink, no lingering viscosity, but not overly dry. 11% alcohol is very well-hidden, no burn or bite, and little to no warmth, even. Moderate bitter taste. Nice dark bitter chocolate, good roast, little coffee, hint of dark fruit. Awesome long bitter roasty aftertaste. Very good.

Bomber to snifter (shared with the group; thanks tomfoolery). Looks good; cola with thin beige lacing and soft carbonation. Smells good too; sweet and boozy. Tastes Like it smells with a nice, smooth mouthfeel. Great beer!

Woodshed 2.0. Bomber share courtesy of dschiller. It pours with a murky dark mahogany looking body supporting a thin light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up an initial pulse of sweet molasses and then chocolate brownie that moves into some booziness at the end of the draw. The taste delivers a smooth mix of booze, molasses, chocolate brownie and a pleasing toffee sensation. It gets more and more boozy into the finish. Tasty sipper.

Bottle @ Bruce’s. The pour’s brown with a small head. The nose is raisin and chocolate. Plums. The taste is similarly sweet. Cocoa, berry, some roasted nuts. Raisin cookies. Full body, thick, soft carbonation. Quite solid.

66cl Bottle at WWT II. Black, thin beige head. Aroma of loads of oak, bourbon, hint of raisins, roasted malts, sweet chocolate. Flavour is sweet oak, vanilla, coffee and cream, sweet chocolate, sweet and bitter roast finish with loads of oak. Full-bodied. Soft carbonation. Great stuff.

TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - SEP 8, 2013
Bottle shared at Dan’s Birthday Tasting (Lyons, IL). Pours a richer blackish pour, good haziness, with a nice brownish glow on the edges. A frothy tannish head is a decent size, sits around and laces ok. Aromas are gentle cocoa, toast and toffee. Some gentle spirit, oak, and vanilla. A bit sweeter and sticky. Initial is firmer, medium bodied, a touch heavier with cocoa, toffee, and toast. Decent spirit. A bit of a condensed sweeter element hangs around. Some oatmeal, black malts, some toffee and toast. Vanilla, gentle spirit. Middle is a bit fuzzy, warm and spirit driven. A bit warm, some gentle carmelization and toast, toffee, coffee roast into the backend. Some roast, toast, a bit harsher and dry, warmth as we finish. Nice beer, a bit warm. The Iced element thickens it up a bit. Nice.

bottle thanks for Dak, thanks man! Tons and tons of molasses, honey, and dark sugar syrup. Tasted like a jar of barrel aged molasses! I was very tempted to unICE it with my water glass. Lots of flavors in there but i can’t get past the rampant sweetness. It’s hurting my teeth.

Bottle thanks to timfoolery. Dark off-brown pour, with a thin light tan head. Sweet caramel, toffee, vanilla, oak, chocolate, plum, and light bourbon. Very smooth, the barrel aging is well done, and little to no booziness. Actually easy drinking for what it is. Good.

Bottle thnx to timfoolery @ WWT II. This pours a jet black coloured beer with a small beige head that leaves quickly. Aroma is alcoholic, bourbon oak, molasses and caramel. Awesome aroma. Flavour definitely has the bourbon influences present, alonside some heavy alcohol and sweet caramel touches. Very well balanced between the oak influences and the alcoholic content. Awesome brew!
