Bottle @ Ratman’s, courtesy of forgetfu. Thanks Bill! Pours a fairly cheat dark brown appearance with a very thin tan head. Mild whiskey, toffee, somewhat herbal, light veggie, chocolate aroma. Rich chocolate, coconut, german chocolate cake, vanilla, a touch fruity, caramel flavor. Flavor is very nice but the aroma leaves something to be desired. Bomber shared by Forgetfu (thanks Bill) poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of bourbon, oak, carmel, plum, roasted malt and some light vegtal notes. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of roasted malt, bourbon, carmel, cocoa, light oak and light vanilla with a smooth lingering oaky carmel finish. Bottle thanks to timfoolery. Dark off-brown pour, with a thin light tan head. Sweet caramel, toffee, vanilla, oak, chocolate, plum, and light bourbon. Very smooth, the barrel aging is well done, and little to no booziness. Actually easy drinking for what it is. Good. deanso (10287) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - APR 6, 2013

Bottle… This beer rocks!… Mostly-clear dark brown ale with a small, creamy, khaki head. The bouquet is an intermingling of bourbon, caramel, chocolate, and both medium and deeply-roasted malts interwoven and then flanked with whispers of dried plum and vanilla. Full-bodied with busy carbonation. The flavor is a sweet swirl of caramel, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, and oak accompanied by more subdued notes of dark chocolate, bourbon and dried plum. Chewy, caramel finish. There are complexities of imperial stouts, barleywines and bourbon barrels at play here, and they play very nicely together. I liked this one, thanks for sharing OmegaX. The pour was thick and black with little signs of carbonation. I smelled mainly coconut and molasses with some raisins, toffee and chocolate in the mix. The taste was full of molasses and more raisins with a silky chocolate finish. Undertones of cherries, toffee and cocoa were more present as it warmed up. yespr (48931) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - AUG 10, 2013

Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Opaque dark brown beer, big tan head. Softish palate, a little dry. Fine carbonation. Not getting a huge amount of difference from the regular Bart! Perhaps a little more spicy. So very nice again!
Poured from a 22 oz bottle, #47.
Aroma is a bit oxidized with some honey notes, but there is also quite a bit of chocolate, roast, dark toffee and caramel. Hints of raisin, fig and prune. Moderate oak notes with medium light bourbon character.
Pours black with some dark brown hues and a medium large, thick, creamy, light mocha head that recedes slowly to a thin film that sticks around on the edges. Light lacing and moderately small legs.
Flavor is fairly sweet with quite a bit of dark caramel and dark toffee. Also fairly strong chocolate and roast notes with hints of toasted bread. Light to medium light honey notes. Medium light bitterness. Light raisin and fig notes with hints of prune. Moderate oak notes with medium light bourbon notes and some light alcohol spice.
Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low but present alcohol warmth.
Overall, a nice beer, but it is reaching the end of its life; if you have bottles now is the time to drink them. Mouthfeel is a bit thin, but its also pretty creamy and silky so that makes up for it.
