2012 bomber from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Yellow wax. I know 2012 isn’t in the vintage list, but my bottle is 1/2012 in little gold numbers just like the picture. Pours black with a dark tan head. Aroma of dark treacle, chocolate and vanilla. Alcohol tickles my nose. Med + body or better. Flavor is very treacle, very bourbon/vanilla, and chocolate. Finishes drier than expected. Alcohol burns in my throat a bit. Not a problem in the mouth. Very tasty ale. harrymel (1551) - Spokane, Washington, USA - MAY 23, 2014
Vintage 2013 - Thanks Trady!
Pours a nice extra dark brown with a solid sheet of dark tans. Smells of cocoa, minerals, oak, vanilla, nougat. Flavor is nice with silky fudge, more nougat, some coconut and oak with a vanilla stream. Really nice flavor. Full bodied with limited carb and a semi dry finish. Good beer. Interested to see how this compares to the Elijah Williams in the fridge. Jesterdeal (1985) - Marlton, New Jersey, USA - MAY 16, 2014
Bottle shared with Epic. Aroma of chocolate, honey, and malt. Pours black with a medium brown head. Taste is roast coffee, chocolate, honey, nougat, and heavy malt with a dull oak finish. Not as much sweetness from the barrel but certainly a delicious stout. Not my favorite of the Eclipses. 50belair (3643) - Florida, USA - MAY 7, 2014
Bottle 2013 vintage. Dark brown pour with kaki head. Dark roasted malt aromas. Dark roasted malts, chocolate, caramel, and smooth bourbon notes. Good body and mouthfeel. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - APR 12, 2014
Bomber, 2011 vintage. Poured deep brown with a short smoked tan head. The aroma was fairly heavy on the barrel, with sweet bourbon, vanilla, and coconut leading.. lightly-smoked black malts, milk chocolate, and a touch of honey supported.. warm on the back of the nose. The flavor found a great balance between the malts and the barrel.. vanilla, honey, and sweeter chocolates laced throughout, with dry, peppery oak on the edges.. finished with decadent malts and just the right level of alcohol oomph. Heavier-bodied with a creamy feel on the palate.. balance was spot-on.. this was excellent!

Bottle thanks to Matt. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is roast, chocolate, oak, booze. Medium mouthfeel with sweet roasted malt, dark chocolate, and sweet finish. Very good. Leveejr (109) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAR 28, 2014
2013 bottle. Very thin appearance. Strong bourbon aroma. Might have had an inproperly stored bottle. Taste was thin. Overall an enjoyable beer but now worth the money

Sweet. Bourbon dominated with a high alcohol presence. Could be worse, like the Makers Mark version. Could also be remotely worth 35 bucks or so. oRos (1675) - sacramento, California, USA - MAR 4, 2014
Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours black with brown head. Taste is bourbon and roasted malts. Great beer marcus (10221) - Sacramento, California, USA - FEB 24, 2014
Bottle from Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours dark brown with a modest tan head and a chocolate and treacle aroma. There is a hearty dark molasses flavor with a silky mouthfeel and a warm alcohol trail.
