Bottle from Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours dark brown with a modest tan head and a chocolate and treacle aroma. There is a hearty dark molasses flavor with a silky mouthfeel and a warm alcohol trail. BMMillsy (1788) - Florida, USA - FEB 6, 2014
2013 single barrel version, bottle run 1, yellow wax. Came from Dawson's while home in Maryland. Pours black with nearly a finger of brown head in my Teku. Aroma of chocolate milk, some hot whiskey, vanilla, graham cracker. Flavor has big chocolate up front with a beautiful char and smoke finish from the barrel. Loooove the finish here. Whiskey is there but not too hot despite seeming so in the aroma. There is a fruity flavor and floral flavor here maybe from the honey. A really nice and complex blend of flavors that is noticeably different from the Evan Williams I had last night. Lives up to thinner body reputation that takes slightly away from it but still plenty of big flavors to love. Higher carbonation for the style. Really neat beer here. Bomber 2011 vintage poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lingering brown head. Aromas of bourbon, oak, dark chocolate, vanilla and light caramel. Palate was medium to full bodied and smooth. Flavors of bourbon, dark chocolate, oak and light vanilla with a smooth lingering bourbon finish. BOLTZ7555 (3027) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - FEB 5, 2014
Just love these beers but the $30/bottle price tag is so prohibitive. 2013 vintage. Dark mocha colored pour with a dark latte head. Brownie batter, fudge, tobacco, molasses, vanilla, cocoa, bourbon, and oak. Lots of depth and complexity. Alcohol was well integrated. Delicious! These guys just know how to do barrel treatments! neuromatt (1225) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 31, 2014
2013 vintage. 22 oz bottle from Binny’s Beverage Depot in Chicago, served in a snifter. Pours black with a moderate tan head that remains and leaves a small amount of fine lace. The nose has huge notes of bourbon and oak, along with dark chocolate, tobacco and roasted malt. The flavour is medium sweet with prominent bourbon and oak, along with chocolate, tobacco and roasted malts. The finish is long and oaky with bourbon, tobacco and chocolate. On the palate it is full in body with a smooth, creamy texture and soft carbonation. Overall, this is an excellent bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout. It is complex and subtle with beautiful oaky bourbon notes. 2014-01-31

As always, nice. Of the series, I can't say this is my favorite. And they're overpriced. But I do love them so.

Deep black in color with light tan head... Aroma of whiskey, roasted malts, dark chocolate, licorice... Flavor is amazingly good, mouthfeel is silk, rich roasted malts give way to honey, dark chocolate, espresso, whiskey... Barely any heat on the finish, extremely well done from start to finish... Could drink several in a sitting... Dangerous

Bottle. Black pour, with a small tan head. Sweetness, dark fruit, raisin, molasses, vanilla, milk chocolate, and bourbon. Overall the beer is pretty smooth. One of the better eclipse varieties. _angst_ (4802) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - NOV 16, 2013
UPDATED: OCT 19, 2014 Bottle courtesy of rlgk. Pours black with a rather small frothy goldenish beige head that slowly dissipates while leaving a small trace on the glass. Smell is sweet and malty with roasted malts, dark chocolate, bourbon, vanilla fudge, oatmeal cookies, burnt cereal, dark roast coffee, charred wood, coconut milk, alcohol, ketjap manis, peanut butter, sweet liquorice candy and hints of Schwarzwald cake. Taste is very sweet with roasted malts, vanilla fudge, toffee, bourbon, cane sugar, cookie dough, alcohol, ketjap manis, bitter chocolate, sweetened dark roast coffee, peanut butter, chocolate cake, coconut mil and caramel. Mouthfeel is round, soft, sticky sweet, tiny boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is sweet with roasted malts, charred wood, bourbon, coconut milk, chocolate cake, dark roast coffee, vanilla fudge, toffee and alcohol. Very nice but its just so god damn sweet...
