Adam Jackson’s crazy vertical at my pad, in yet another 650 ml bottle. Aroma shows wood barrel and char malt with some leather and tobacco hints. Nice aroma’s. AdamChandler (5051) - Enfield, New Hampshire, USA - NOV 8, 2014
Taste is a chocolate richness, mild roasted grain and finishing with bourbon and oak. Medium bodied with some low, creamy carbonation. Nice level of complex bourbon and awesome stout base. Really super smooth… I have never have had the 20 year but this is damn fine.
Dark black body like the other eclipse variants. nose is much sweeter than other variants with a touch of vanilla and brown sugar. Taste is nice. sweet, roasty and loaded with coffee. barn0216 (550) - California, USA - NOV 8, 2014

"Definite and noticeable drop-off from the EC 18/20 year version, but still a great beer, if a bit overpriced. Sweet, with a touch of hops at the end. I’ve always really liked the base beer, and probably would like, but not love, this bourbon." McNeillR (2315) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 17, 2014
UPDATED: SEP 18, 2014 Darkest brown and border of ruby highlight. Big fading tan swirlable head. Sweet marshmallow vanilla bourbon. Neat initial gleam of booze but an exhaust fumed wood and naturally creamy rise. Soft and almost cooling milky. Finish is a sweet soy and light bourbon burn. It hides a colourful barrel incredibly well, not busy or escalator layered. Just tremendous. Thanks Paul for the bottle, via a bloody beer club. ’Merica.
