Bomber 2011 vintage poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of bourbon, roasted malt, carmel, fruittiness, cocoa, oak and light vanilla. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of oak, bourbon, roastiness, cocoa and light fruittriness with a smooth lingering bourbon finish. badhack (558) - San Francisco, California, USA - JUN 8, 2013
Purple wax. 5 stars for presentation and going all the way for every flavor possible. Pours thick and with very little head. Dark. Aroma of bourbon, candy and taffy. Tastes strongly of bourbon, smoky oak, some more honey/taffy/dark fruit, sweet but not overbearing and a muted hop like finish with what I think is citrus. Lots of cacao as well. deekyn (1459) - San Francisco, California, USA - JUN 3, 2013
A - pours like molasses, opaque black with cola edges and very minimal cola head. S - nice very rich bourbon aromas. Cereal grains ( dry husked wheat, barley) and dark dried fruits ( dried figs, prunes, raisins) molasses, toffee, burnt sugar, sweet Whisky smells. Vanilla and light graham cracker M - medium heavy body, lighter than expected. Watery mf, dry grassy end. Alcohol is tasted in the end. T - dusty earthy chalk is prevalent on the nose. Vanilla, chocolate, toffee sweetness along with dark dried fruits lead the way. Dry oaky notes, bready malts, dried dates on the palate. Flavor falls off to a lingering mineral water, dried grasses faceless bitterness and alcohol sting. O - good but not great. The aromas are much better than the tastes. Taste falls flat and the grains are too prevalent 4.1. ksurkin (1021) - Norfolk, Virginia, USA - MAY 29, 2013
22oz, purple waxed bottle #2694, 2011 edition. pours a deep, dark brown, almost opaque and sits black in the glass capped by a thin, mocha head that leaves tight rings of lace. aroma is excellent, a bit sweeter that other Eclipse versions, with notes of vanilla, toasted coconut, almonds, and spearmint backed by roasted malts, cocoa, light espresso, and subtle notes of toasted barrel. flavor is where this one really shines with notes of german chocolate cake with extra coconut icing, ashy malts, espresso, and subtle smoke backed by pralines, chocolate oranges, vanilla, and smooth, woody barrel notes. palate appears thin to the eye but actually ramps up in the mouthfeel with light carbonation a warming finish. overall, another excellent Eclipse variation.

do you have any fruit?
this donut has purple stuff inside it, purple’s a fruit..
Thanks for the share, Jordanian. This is my first impression of FiftyFifty brewing - and I was impressed. The pour was a bold black with a full body and a thick, Whopper candy head. The aroma was full of fudge, caramel, smoke and oak with hints of bourbon and vanilla. Again, with a full body the creamy mocha flavors crash with dank hops, dark chocolate and molasses with a layer of oak to calm the palate. What a treat this was :-). I really enjoyed this one. Snifter pour. This one looked as you might expect with a solid black body and a tan head. The aroma was excellent with such a smooth vanilla and bourbon aroma behind the chocolate and fudge notes. Lightly roasty. Flavor was big vanilla and bourbon with cocoa, chocolate, roast, and a hint of coffee and caramel. I could have easily kept drinking this all night. brystmar (1314) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAY 17, 2013
2012. Barrely, burnt sugar, bourbon, roasted malt; booze soothes my throat after swallowing. Nice body. Pretty good, but nothing to write home about. radagast83 (8119) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - MAY 14, 2013
Split a 22oz bottle of the 2012 or 2011 (Purple?) vintage three ways. This poured a dark black color, with a dark tan head. Aroma was sweet and roasted notes - barrel, booze. Bourbon character, vanilla, some barrel in there. Very nice, subtle, subdued flavors, very smooth drinking - vanilla, chocolates, no harsh notes around the edges here.
