Sampled this one several times. Most of them were shared by Bacterial. Pours and opaque and syrupy near black colored brew with a thin tan head that slowly dissipates and leaves behind a film top and beige ring. Aroma of Baker’s chocolate, bourbon, a hint of blackstrap molasses, soy and sweet licorice. Taste is full bodied, lots of bourbon and dark chocolate flavors. Finish is thick and chewy with a strong alcohol presence with bourbon and dark chocolate. Yum.

65cl, at 9.5%Vol, Vintage 2009 (with purple wax), Bottle N° 1080, exclusive American brew, with honey, thx to Wimenels!, very complex Stout, roasted/sweet and slightly alcoholic/woody, not too heavy, very balanced, hazy, nearly no head, very good Winter brew, yet very expensive!

Un brownies liquide avec un glaçage à la vanille et des notes de petits fruits. Le corps soyeux et velouté des eclipse y est encore une fois.

(FiftyFifty Imperial Eclipse Stout - Elijah Craig 12 Year Barrel) Bottle 650 ml at home, purple wax, BR 3/13. Served into a snifter, ABV 9.5% Pitch black colour on the body, one finger of thick, brown head on top, with quite good retention Aroma has lots of bourbon, wood, iodine, plums, molasses, dark fruits, nice hints of alcohol. Sweet taste with plenty of bourbon again, light liquorice, dark fruits, plums, burnt sugars, wood, alcohol, light vanilla. Medium body with soft carbonation. Sticky on the palate. Nice.

UPDATED: DEC 14, 2013 Bottle at Stone Oakquinox 2012. Black pour, thin dark tan head. Chocolate, bourbon, molasses, raisin, sugary, and some vanilla. Not as smooth and less vanilla than the 18 year.

Vintage 2013.

Bottle shared at some stables in Belgium. Black with light brown head that leaves lots of lacing. Dried apricot, cocoa, strawberry, vanilla, booze, light metallic touches, bubblegum, old coffee. Over medium sweet with a lingering metallic bitter finish. Full bodied with soft carbonation and lingering dry feel. Quite nice except for the finish.

Bomber graciously shared by BigSound. Cheers, Henri! Pours a wonderful stout brown with a tan head. Nose is bourbon, sweet molasses, brown sugar, wood, vanilla, rum-soaked raisins, and some milk chocolate. Flavor is similar with very sweet, very chocolate and molasses flavors throughout. This one is balanced more toward the barrel, but still really nice as the stout dances back with notes of chocolate and cafe con leche. Very enjoyable.
