From a shared 22 ounce bottle. Creamy chocolate pour and taste. Big bourbon nose and taste. Very rich.

Bottle. Pitch black with a creamy tan head. The aroma is light peaty whisky, roasted malt, tobacco, ripe fruit, chocolate and oak. The flavour is oak, bourbon, sweet caramel, alcohol, ripe fruit and light peat. Alcoholic bourbon like finish. Nice and complex brew.

Split a 22oz bottle of the 2012 or 2011 (Purple?) vintage three ways. This poured a dark black color, with a dark tan head. Aroma was sweet and roasted notes - barrel, booze. Bourbon character, vanilla, some barrel in there. Very nice, subtle, subdued flavors, very smooth drinking - vanilla, chocolates, no harsh notes around the edges here.

Bottle @ THE Eclipse Tasting. Purple waxed bottle #182. Cheers, Bruce! The pour’s deep oily brown with hardly any trace of head whatsoever. The nose is sweet vanilla, plenty of wood, big bourbon and butterscotch candy. Light rum raisin cake and chocolate syrup. The taste is more light sweet chocolate, cocoa powder. There’s further accents of earthy roasted malts, toasted coconut. Some smooth, sweet marshmallow fluff and raisin bread. The body’s oily and very smooth. The alcohol’s hidden well. Overall, a pretty excellent imperial stout. The bourbon comes through on the nose more than the taste.

65,1 cl bottle @ ISKTR ’16
BR 1 2014, purple wax
Aroma is sweet and very "American". Fruitiness, licorice and vanilla. Feels already sticky even though I have not tasted yet. Flavour has alcohol, licorice, sweet vanilla tones and wood. Alcohol balances the sweetness here. A slow sipper. Wait, no, THE slow sipper.

JaBier (8396) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - MAR 9, 2013
Bottle shared by a friend at the 5th Annual Coldest Day of the Year Stout Tasting on 1/26/13. Darkest brown pour with a medium tan head. Aroma of malt, chocolate, bourbon and vanilla. Malty and chocolatey flavor with some roasty coffee and bourbon before a roasty finish.

PhillyCraft (8196) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 2, 2012
Bottle with some heads at Bills’. Pours a deep black with beige head. Not much lace or carbonation. Notes were very boozey, with molasses, licorice, cocoa, bourbon, wood, spice, and marshmallow. Overall it had a little too much heat. I prefered the Rittenhouse Rye version that night. Full flavored dry finish.
