Gerbeer (3749) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 6, 2014
UPDATED: MAR 15, 2014 22 oz bottle. 2012 vintage. Pours black with light to moderate tan head. Aromas of rich dark roasted malts, pumpernickel/oatmeal, and alcohol. Flavors are similar with notes of toasted coconut and licorice. Big, full, and boozy. Very good but over priced - at least double that of equally good or better barrel aged Imperials.

sunevdj (4087) - Copenhagen OE, DENMARK - APR 20, 2014
Bottle at 7 Eclipse Tasting. Again opaque black with a tiny beige head. Quite sweet with aromas of roasted malts and some dates. Also notes of alcohol. Medium to full bodied. Soft carbonation. Sweet and slightly dry Bourbon finish.

"Definite and noticeable drop-off from the EC 18/20 year version, but still a great beer, if a bit overpriced. Sweet, with a touch of hops at the end. I’ve always really liked the base beer, and probably would like, but not love, this bourbon."

Adam Jackson’s crazy vertical at my pad, in yet another 650 ml bottle. Aroma shows wood barrel and char malt with some leather and tobacco hints. Nice aroma’s.

Taste is a chocolate richness, mild roasted grain and finishing with bourbon and oak. Medium bodied with some low, creamy carbonation. Nice level of complex bourbon and awesome stout base. Really super smooth… I have never have had the 20 year but this is damn fine.

DuffMan (10425) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 20, 2015
Bottle. I’ve had both the 2013 and the 2014. Both were very very similar, showing a nice densely malty imperial base with a dominant (but pleasing) bourbon character. The ’13 was distinctly smoother, less boozy in the finish. I’m really enjoying this BA Eclipse series.

Habanero (4672) - Tranbjerg, DENMARK, DENMARK - FEB 22, 2015
Bottled. Pours pitch black with a nice tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, cocoa. dark chocolate, bourbon, soy, vanilla and wood. Sweet flavor that ends up more dry with bitter notes and alcohol. Medium to full bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. An excellent Impy.
