Bottle, 22oz, at TFODRBSG 2012. As FiftyFifty 2011 Imperial Eclipse Stout (Elijah Craig 18 Year). An almost black one, topped by a tan head of moderate size. The aroma has some roasted malts, as well as dark chocolate, coffee, some alcohol and a touch of booze. Full-bodied and warming, rather sweet on the palate. Dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malts and some booze. Vanilla hints. Lasting finish with a nice boozyness. Although sweet and boozy, it’s a damn fine beer. 120818 jtclockwork (16831) - , New Jersey, USA - NOV 8, 2015

Pours viscous and black in color with a finger of tan head. Intense barrel and bourbon aromas, especially charred wood. There is a nice vanilla note to it and plenty of dark chocolate and roasted malt. The flavor is also quite heavy on the barrel/char flavors as well as the vanilla. A nice bit of chocolate and roasted malt, minimal coffee notes. Light sweetness of molasses in the background. Medium bodied with smooth, low carbonation.
