2012 Bottle thanks to Matt. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that lasts leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is strong roast, dark chocolate, toffee, caramel. Medium mouthfeel with strong roast, dark chooclate, and light dry finish. Very good. Maarten1993 (1334) - Nijmegen, NETHERLANDS - MAR 29, 2014
For FiftyFifty this beer was slightly disappointing. Weird begin-taste. Continues soft, sweet, bourbon. Not very deep. Staffan47 (909) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - MAR 23, 2014
BR1/2012 dras parallellt med 2/2013 svart vax (rate gäller 2012)
12: rund och len men samtidigt ganska tung spritighet som går fint in i smakbilden.
13: lite mer mörkare nyans av brunt skum. Initialt lite jobbig doft. Grönt äpple, rost och metall. Dock endast nyanser av dessa otrevligheten. I grunden riktigt bra. kkleu357 (634) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 15, 2014
Very dark. Great bourbon smell. Some sweet aromas. Very tasty. Great woody bourbon flavors. The malt flavors are great. This beer is excellent. Getbetter (1033) - East Palo Alto, California, USA - MAR 15, 2014
From a tap at the brewery.I can faintly smell the whiskey and has well balance with not being an overwhelming flavor.A nice thick motor oil texture with a sweet taste.

2010 bottle #2071 from a trade or possibly DLD 2012. My second shot at an Eclipse. Big beer that is done well. Obviously lots of bourbon but also lots of coffee, especially in the finish. The coffee lends some bitterness too. Much less sweeter than the cognac version. Good. jonno (2854) - JAPAN - MAR 12, 2014
Bad ass blusey, boozy bourbon kissed Imperial Stout. Sweetish with the vanilla, but never cloying. Molasses, roast and good ol southern charm. Top notch. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 16, 2014
22oz bottle, shared by dudeabide. Bottle has black wax, labeled 2012 vintage, "BR 1". Was room temperature when I sampled it but that didn’t bother me at all. Very dark brown, near black color. Little khaki, light brown head. Couple dots of lace. Bigger body. Chewy texture. Light, smooth carbonation. Great woody barrel aroma. Cocoa nibs, some coffee, some dark fruit. Moderate bitter taste, light sweet, light alcohol warmth. Solid stuff, whichever variant this is [took my notes on paper last night, only figured out the variant today from a photo] KansaiBeerLvrs (5255) - Kyoto, JAPAN - FEB 11, 2014
2012 vintage, bottle from Sugaya, shared at a dark beer tasting. Dark brown pour almost black, almost no head. The nose is BIG barrel character, oaky, whiskey, boozy nose. Smooth silky mouthfeel, sweet, roasty, barrel oaky. The nose makes you expect booziness but when you taste it you get some warming it isn’r at all boozy. The star of the tasting, the barrel aging was prominent in the nose but subtle in the taste which I really loved. tcane7 (1674) - Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 9, 2014
2012 bottle split with some friends. Pours black with mocha head. Nose of chocolate, caramel, vanilla, bourbon, dark fruit. Creamy mouthfeel, medium to full body. Slightly boozy.
