Deep opaque black, minimal head. Deep molasses, caramel, vanilla, anise. Some dark fruit notes. Very sweet, good amount of bitterness. Thick syrupy body, very little carbonation, good amount of acidity. Medium finish. Very good.

Bottle, 2012 blue wax, thanks chebyshev. Opaque dark brown almost black pour, receding tan foam. Aroma is really bourbon forward, nice rich woody vanilla notes, light milk chocolate, generally well balanced aroma. Taste is sweet, lots of oak, bourbon, vanilla, sweet booze but not cloying, light roastiness, quite tasty. Palate is med-full bodied with med carbonation. Nice bourbon imperial stout, really enjoyed sipping this.

Killer! 2012 Barrel 1, Old Fitzgerald. One of the truly great barrel aged Imperial Stouts out there! Aroma is bourbon and vanilla and the flavors are roasted malts, bourbon, vanilla and subtle oak. Very sweet, smooth almost syrupy....in a good way. Very big, some booziness. Exceptional!
