2007 vintage on tap at the Eclipse release in Truckee. Another fantastic eclipse beer. I don't think I've had a bad one yet. The only drawback was low carbonation. I'm thinking the 6 years in a keg could have contributed to it. Still a great brew.

Bottle @ Pre-Pils-Festival, Odense. Thanks to SFHOdense. Pours Black with a small head. Vintage 2012. Roast, bourbon, slight charcoal, vague Warming alcohol. Sippable - and I dont mind the age. A tad too boozy though. Christian (13921) - Odense, DENMARK - OCT 21, 2017
Dunkbar Pilsnerfestival Pre-tasting. Black with a small off-white head. Aroma of chocolate and licorice, with oak, and a dusty cellar note. Sweet, roasted flavour with coconut and chocolate. A little too old, but still quite yummy Iphonephan (7471) - Jackson Hole/McLean, Virginia, USA - OCT 11, 2017
From a bomber, 2012 vintage. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of plums, oak and bourbon. Flavors of chocolate and bourbon. Boozy and warming, but smooth. Delicious! DenverLogan (1299) - North Bend, Washington, USA - JUL 31, 2017
From a blue wax covered 22 oz bottle. Pours black with small brown head and lace. Aroma of whiskey, dark chocolate, dark malts & oak. Medium carbonation and significant mouthfeel. Flavors of dark chocolate, roasty malts, bourbon, minerals, slight honey. Overall big, bold, rough for the uninitiated but utterly delicious! kraddel (9321) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - JUL 16, 2017
Bottle at the eclipse madness tasting.
Pours black, small to no head. Smell is intense bourbon, mild grainy, some boozyness. Taste is full, roasty malts, mild sweetness. bit of booze. Intense bourbon flavors, vanilla intensity. Good body, low carbo. Nice

Pours a deep brownish black from the bomber with thin bubbly tan brown head that leaves light lace. Aroma of mild vanilla barrel character and a hint of mild soy oxidation, light chocolate maltiness. Taste follows, this barrel is not my favorite, and I feel like age took a little bit away from it. Tmoney99 (15114) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 2, 2016
Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a black color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted chocolate malt, vanilla and bourbon aroma. Medium to heavy toasted chocolate malt flavor with a medium to heavy dark sweet and small alcohol bite finish of moderate to long duration. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is another solid beer. alexsdad06 (11222) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - OCT 23, 2016
22 oz. bottle shared with Tmoney99. Pours dark brown/black with a small tan head. Nose is chocolate, bourbon, roast, oak, vanilla and dark fruits. Flavors are the same. This was not quite as smooth and showed more woody qualities. Still pretty nice treatment. Christos (5909) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - JUL 27, 2016
(FiftyFifty Imperial Eclipse Stout - Old Fitzgerald Barrel) Bottle 650 ml at home, served into a snifter, ABV 9.5%, BR1/2012 on the bottle.
Black coloured body with one finger of thick dark brown head on top, average retention.
Aroma of liquorice, olive pit, some bourbon but not as strong as I expected.
Taste is mildly sweet, with light bourbon, soft alcohol, chocolate notes, light roasted character, a bit of vanilla too every now and then.
Medium body, good carbonation.

Smooth fresh beginning. Nice smooth brown malt with a smooth alcoholic whisky in the background. As the whisky is not too distinctive here, the beer is in total a bit flat in aroma. The Imperial Stout is great smooth and round, but the wood is soft in the background and the whisk is only in its alcoholic aroma there. The beer is a bit sweetish as there is no real counterpart. The aftertaste is wood with smooth sweetish milk chocolate.
