Backlog. 2012 bottle ->mini snifter from Churchkey Vintage Vault event. Deep brown with small tan head. Chocolate, oak, vanilla, bourbon. For me, the bourbon bite is not as pleasant as in the Bernheim version.

Opened at the end of year Ottawa tasting, 2011 bottle via Capones. Black with a faint light mocha head. Surprisingly smooth, lots of bourbon, oak, vanilla, burnt malt, coffee, chocolate, very nice to drink and glad I could share it with everyone.

Bottle shared with the Dangerous Bottleshares crew. Pours black with a bubbly beige head. Aroma of vanilla, chocolate, big bourbon notes, dark dried fruits, weak brownies and just straight forward BA imperial stout. The taste has bourbon, vanilla, chocolate and is overall pretty barrel heavy. Though the balance is pretty standard. Brighter cocoa and a solid malt-profile.

Gription79 (2892) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - JUL 13, 2012
Poured from a 22 ounce bomber, thanks to Doug. Lots going on here. The aroma has hot alcohol notes, toffee, bourbon. The flavor is burnt sugar, honey, vanilla, chocolate, bourbon. Am amazing RIS, one of my favorites. Nice dry finish.

2013 bottle, nice vanilla, solid oak, bourbon. Solid silky body. I love des eclipse and I love ec 12, but this just seems sub par compared to the rest. In the scheme of life its still great.

22oz bottle shared by Sean, ’09 EC version. Rating #131. Dark cola colored almost black with very little head. Light bourbon, vanilla and a bit of wood in the nose, very nice. A little boozy, hot in the back of the throat, bourbon and vanilla, nice sweetness, real tasty. (1478)

(22oz purple wax bomber #99/2009 thanks to ericandersnavy) Pours jet black with tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate, espresso, dark roasted grain, dark fruit and light black licorice. Flavor is very much the same but twice as strong and a touch of honey. Mouth feel is heavy body with low carbonation and a creamy body. Overall, damned good stuff!

rejtable (2849) - Ontario, CANADA - DEC 15, 2013
Big bourbon with lots of vanilla, also almost a cigar hint in there. Pours dark with a ruby edge and light head. Taste big sweet and medium bitter. Big alcohol burn. Wow!

TXBadger (2811) - Dallas, Texas, USA - APR 26, 2014
Was fortunate to have this at a share, 2012 bottle. Pours a nice dark black, oil like in viscosity. Bourbon, dark chocolate, and dark fruits on the nose; all follow onto the palate. Finishes with a sweetness to it. Very complex.
