Eclipse may be THE nectar of the Gods. I’ve had all of the 2011 varieties at this point, and all of them are equally amazing. This one might be my favorite. Lots of very woody, caramely whiskey notes and of course the typical stout chocolate and vanilla creamy wallop. I love this beer so much it hurts. Every Eclipse gets a 5.0. They’re all perfect in their own way. And, in my opinion, they are the best stouts on earth.

this beer is worth the price... simply amazing. pours nice and black with a firm tan head - that lasts throughout. layered vanilla, bourbon, light coffee and chocolate nose - they all blend so well together - nothing dominating - very well blended aromas. full body with smooth chocolate malts, silky vanilla and bourbon notes with a lingering bitterness. roasted finish with more bourbon and vanilla peaking in flavor. a lot of bourbon barrel aged stouts are way too boozy and heavy - this beer is so inviting and soothing - nothing forced - simple perfection.

Pours a beautiful opaque black with a light tan head. Aroma is sweet with notes of chocolate, coffee and a little nutty. Taste is sweet and alcohol my god is it smooth. After taste is bitter and malty but my god is it good.

Bourbon and kahlua so good with balance of chocolate sweetness and dry bourbon character. Mouthfeel thick and rich with the favors of roasted malts and bourbon. Not to boozy but evident.

Rating #1605 - 14.04.2015 - Easter Dinner nightcap. Pours an opaque black beauty with a rich tan foam. Aroma is heavy roast malt, espresso, molasses, oak. Taste is heavy on roast malt and coffee flavours, lots of burnt sugar, toffee, bourbon vanilla, blackstrap molasses. A beauteous beer that hits on all of my favourite things. #5whore
