We at FiftyFifty believe that beer is good. Especially this beer. Manifesto is one of FiftyFifty’s flagship beers. This beer is a delight for those who take pleasure in craft beers and are looking for something that they can enjoy a few pints of. Manifesto has a restrained malt backbone of flavor with mild biscuit and caramel notes, and the hop character is light to moderate with mild earthiness evolving to a slightly more moderate citrus/piney finish. This is a beer of principle.

Tap. Pours clear pale amber, small off-white head, decent lacing. Aroma is pine and grapefruit. Flavor is light plus sweet, light bitter. Medium body.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours Amber with a white head. Light pine aroma. Med body. Tastes like caramel, slightly, lightly toasted, with some earthy citrus coming forth. Maybe pine. Good drink, but I prefer the Leglifter. This one does do some nifty lacing.

Amber colour with light lacy head. Bit of an odd smell and taste to match. Bitter tasting, no hoppiness, but it could be hidden by the bitterness. (K)

KyotoLefty (11029) - Kyoto, JAPAN - JUN 19, 2015
Tap at Bud. Orange-amber, hazy, with lace. Malty, biscuity nose, pine, caramel, old school. Nice malt character like Munich, not s sweet, citrus hops, quite bitter. Nice.

"an above average american pale ale. hopped similarly to Sierra Nevada with a more obvious and better balanced malt profile, IMHO. crisp, clean, malty with a ton of hops in the finish...way more than the 32 ibus suggest. 5.4%"

Draft at brewery. Hazy copper color, white head. Very sugary and toffee in the nose. Flavor is caramel with even some burnt toast flavors. A touch of butter or some yeasty off flavor, detracting from the hops. Not their best offering I had of the day by any means.

FROTHINGSLOSH (8449) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 29, 2014
Sampled on draft at Hou Thou this beer poured a golden amber color with a huge fluffy white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was thin peppery and vague fruity hops. The flavor was thin and bitter with pepper, vague fruity hops and tasted watery. Medium length finish. Light body. Disappointing.

NikkTwist (3516) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 29, 2014
Draft at Moriartys. Hazy orange amber pour with a soft foamy top. Earthy floral hops with a caramel backbone. Tangelos. Vanilla bourbon. Dandelions. Some light bready notes in there too. Body feels too sugary. Bitter finish. Not really enjoying it.

brokensail (16696) - Dublin, California, USA - JUL 15, 2013
On tap @ Beachwood Brewing. Copper colored pour with a white head. Nose is nicely floral, some citrus zest bite, and toasted bread. Caramel malt, pine, and a surprisingly fruity, estery character, too. The flavor is very sweet. Brown sugar and caramel dominate. Lots of grass and straw. Pine and a harsh bitterness on the finish. Light citrus and some floral hops.

drsordr (2984) - Loveland, Ohio, USA - JUN 26, 2013
Draft dark golden. Nose tropical fruit hop, but subdued. Mild grapefruit bite, strong mid palate bitter. Not much finish.
