COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We at FiftyFifty believe that beer is good. Especially this beer. Manifesto is one of FiftyFifty’s flagship beers. This beer is a delight for those who take pleasure in craft beers and are looking for something that they can enjoy a few pints of. Manifesto has a restrained malt backbone of flavor with mild biscuit and caramel notes, and the hop character is light to moderate with mild earthiness evolving to a slightly more moderate citrus/piney finish. This is a beer of principle.

Tap at Bud. Orange-amber, hazy, with lace. Malty, biscuity nose, pine, caramel, old school. Nice malt character like Munich, not s sweet, citrus hops, quite bitter. Nice.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours Amber with a white head. Light pine aroma. Med body. Tastes like caramel, slightly, lightly toasted, with some earthy citrus coming forth. Maybe pine. Good drink, but I prefer the Leglifter. This one does do some nifty lacing.

On tap at the brewpub. Clear, bright copper color. Piney hop aroma. The flavor has a nice caramel malt sweetness with flavorful hops and modest bitterness. The hops are pretty piney, as seems to be the case with all of their hoppy beers, but it is restrained and balanced well here. Light bodied and quite drinkable. They found a good balance in this one, and I would take it over the IPA.

Draft @ FiftyFifty. Pours a bright, clear orange-cola color; off-white head with good retention and fine-bubbled lacing. Dry, earthy bitterness and some sweet dried orange maltiness in the aroma; nicely hopped. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: chewy, generous earthy hop bitterness upfront; mild astringency, solidly bitter, with a light earthy / floral malt character underneath; solid pale ale. Medium finish: biscuity malts, earthy bitterness, and a very light malt sweetness; ends dry and bitter overall.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours light amber with a modest beige head and a bready aroma. There is a tasty pale malt flavor that is also bready, and a citrus finish.
