Pours a deep almost opaque amber color with off white head. Sweet toasted malt aroma. Deep toasted to roasted malt sweetness but tempered with a nice hop character.

Draft at Fifty Fifty. Pours a clear dark amber/copper color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet caramel malts, dark fruits, raisins, some citrus, more hop character than I like in my barley wines, some alcohol comes through, I think this one shows all of the 9 % and then some. Decent, but I tend more toward the English barley wines. Oscbert (1339) - Lincoln, California, USA - SEP 19, 2014
Aroma is light, malty fruitiness. Hard to pick up much aroma. Strong hop presence.
Pours a cloudy amber color with small yellowish head
Prune like flavor with strong hop character, grapefruit, pine. Well balanced
Full bodied, low CO2, lingering hop bitterness
Wish aroma offered a bit more. Really like how well balanced this is for a barleywine. Alcohol present but not overbearing.

"a cloudy burnt orange amber. medium to full bodied with slightly higher than average carbonation. aroma has a little alcohol, very herbal and spicy. flavor starts off malt heavy but the spicy hops come out quite a bit as it warms. Not one of the best BWs out there, but not too bad either." baraciisch (3440) - California, USA - JAN 2, 2014
Mahogany reddish brown in color... Aroma of caramel, toffee, light booze... Flavor is caramel, toffee initially, kind of watery, gives way to gentle hop finish... Solid

On tap @ FiftyFifty. Light amber pour with an off-white head. Nose is caramel, dark fruits, and toffee on the nose. Some booze, toast, chocolate, and a bit of citrus. Sweet flavors of honey, toffee, caramel, and toast. Some dark fruit, chocolate, booze, and a little bit of citrus. Quite a bit of raisin. Kind of thin on the tongue. thirdeye11 (6162) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUN 1, 2013
(Draught) cloudy copper, few bubbles. Nose of honey, American hops, caramel, rich, vanilla, grassy. Taste of bitter American hops, caramel, honey, big in every way, medium body, very low carbonation. Bittersweet linger. Gription79 (2892) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - APR 25, 2013
Had on draft at the brewery. Fruity, plum, raisin, slight vinous quality, caramel, lots of melanoidans. A very good barley wine, a bit young. wheresyourball (575) - El Cajon, California, USA - FEB 18, 2013

Dark brown pour with an aroma of dark fruit, caramel, and alcohol. Dark fruit flavor with caramel, alcohol, and hops at the back end. Impressive brew.
