COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
If being in one of the coldest places in the US isn’t extreme enough, the contents of this beer may very well redefine your commitment to the pursuit of hops. Rockslide IPA is brewed in the ’West Coast’ style with aggressive amounts of American hops such as Amarillo, Centennial and Summit hops. You are greeted with a full frontal assault of citrus/grapefruit/pine hop character, followed up with malt to balance the mouthfeel. This beer is all about hops.

Draft at the brewpub. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, caramel and malt. Taste of grapefruit, bitter pine, grassy herbal hop and a solid malty backbone. Really bitter finish. Heavily bitter-hopped, perhaps a bit too much.

Tap. Pours hazy orange, large creamy off white head, nice lacing. Aroma is light, melon, floral. Flavor is light plus sweet, light plus bitter, floral and melon notes. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel

Pours a finger of head on a hazy straw body. The aroma is pine and grapefruit. The taste is moderate pine bitterness with a biting bitter finish. The texture is medium. It’s nice.

Beer No. 3 of my flight of beers at the brewery tap. Deep golden colour, quite clear, white head. Typical West Coast IPA, fairly aggressively hopped in both aroma and flavour, with piney / resinous and grapefruity notes.

Marheb (6193) - San Diego, California, USA - SEP 9, 2015
(En fût au Lucky Balwin’s): Des arômes puissants de sapin, bonbon à la mangue et thé noir. L’aspect résineux et abrasif est violent, on croirait facilement une DIPA. L’amertume est franche évidemment mais pas si éternelle.

On tap at the brewhouse as part of a flight of everything they offered! Slightly hazy orange head with moderate white head. Tropical and bitterness mix well.

On tap at the brewpub. Citrus, pine, tropical fruit and a big caramel background. Resiny. Mild bitterness throughout. Solid IPA finish. Tasty.

"a soft body and a good amounts of fragrant grapefruit/citrus hops in this one, with enough of a malt backbone for decent balance. the finish wasn’t quite up to par for whatever reason but the flavor and aroma were quite good."

TimE (6130) - Tokyo, JAPAN - SEP 7, 2014
Med amber color. Big thick caramel malty nose with not a ton of hops. The mouth is big, much bigger than abv, with tons of caramel. Smooth, but over the top malty IPAs just ain’t my thing. Big malty finish. Will made for what it wants to be, but just doesn’t groove with me.

Draft at brewery. Lots of fruit and citrus in the nose. Slightly danky with some earthiness. Malt flavors are toasty and toffee. a little more malt that I care for but ok.
