COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
If being in one of the coldest places in the US isn’t extreme enough, the contents of this beer may very well redefine your commitment to the pursuit of hops. Rockslide IPA is brewed in the ’West Coast’ style with aggressive amounts of American hops such as Amarillo, Centennial and Summit hops. You are greeted with a full frontal assault of citrus/grapefruit/pine hop character, followed up with malt to balance the mouthfeel. This beer is all about hops.

Cloudy orange pour with a white head. Really nice grapefruit hop nose, some pine, and a bit of tropical fruit. Hints of melon and lemon zest. Biscuit malt base. There’s a nice fruit character to the flavor, too. Big grapefruit, tropical fruit, and some peaches. Melon, lemon zest, and pine. Moderate bitterness, some hints of malt sweetness.

Tap at Sacramento Brewing Co. Pours a copper/amber with a rather frothy beige head that laces. Pine aroma. Maybe some citrus. Medium body with almost creamy carbonation. Flavor is pine and/or grapefruit rind, and the malt is hardly noticeable at first. This is a good bitter beer, that shows a bit of florality and maltiness as the main bitter drains away. The florality comes forth with time. Bottom line: it’s bitter. Really good.

On tap at Hops and Pie poured a hazy orange amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of biscuit, skunk bud, earthiness, grassiness, orange zest, grapefruit and light pine. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, earthiness, pine and grapefruit with a smooth dry bitter lingering pine finish.

"a soft body and a good amounts of fragrant grapefruit/citrus hops in this one, with enough of a malt backbone for decent balance. the finish wasn’t quite up to par for whatever reason but the flavor and aroma were quite good."

Tap @ Hops and Pies Denver during FiftyFifty tap takeover. Pours a cloudy orange appearance with a cream colored head. Grapefruity, zesty ctirus/tropical fruity, a bit mango, somewhat citrus hoppy aroma. Fairly potent, piney, moderately bitter hoppy flavor with some grapefruit and toasty malts. Easy to drink but nothing super special.

On tap at Sacramento Brewing. This copper ale poured with a modest off-white head and a fruity aroma. There is a nice toffee flavor with just the right amount of hopping to produce a balanced taste.
