COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
If being in one of the coldest places in the US isn’t extreme enough, the contents of this beer may very well redefine your commitment to the pursuit of hops. Rockslide IPA is brewed in the ’West Coast’ style with aggressive amounts of American hops such as Amarillo, Centennial and Summit hops. You are greeted with a full frontal assault of citrus/grapefruit/pine hop character, followed up with malt to balance the mouthfeel. This beer is all about hops.

On tap at the brewhouse as part of a flight of everything they offered! Slightly hazy orange head with moderate white head. Tropical and bitterness mix well.

Really a top notch IPA and one of my favorites from this weekend. A huge, dense, citrusy/grapefuity aroma with a balanced sweet apple-like sweetness. Bitter hops flavor really shines thru on the flavor with a length and intensity that seemed quite fresh. Sweet malts helps keep things in check and doesn’t really add much other than balance but the hops do really shine thru.

(Sample provided by Todd at the brewpub). This wasn’t on tap, but he brought a glass out from the brewery. Pours a hazy orange-copper color with soapy off-white head. Aroma is a nice mix of resinous and tropical (mango) hops. Taste is sweet, bready malts with light citrusy hops. Medium bodied with an oily texture. Really tasty.

Pretty vibrant orange color. Nice nose with light pine and predominant citrus-grapefruit and some orange zest. Well balanced and clean finish. Totally solid and enjoyable west coaster.

Draft at Fizz’s CDA 2011. Hazed orange with a beige head. Lots of pine and citrus a little cat pissy. Bitter fresh piney goodness. Basically hop juice but not overly bitter. 7/3/8/3/15

Draft at Fifty fifty. Pours hazy deep golden orange, thin white head, lacing is average to slightly above average. Nose is juicy hops, nice and sptritzy, the way I like. Big grapefruit and navel orange, with light spruce. Flavours are very openly bitter, but it’s a pithy grapefruit rind-like bitterness, which rocks. More spruce/pine in the mouth than there was on the nose. MUCH more, actually. Solid grapefruit from beginning to end, with a bitter finish. Overall a really solid IPA, but the mouth is a bit too simple to be really world class.

Sampled at the brew house. A very quality made brew with a good hop palate but not overly powerful. The base of the brew was really well done

Pours golden amber with a fine bubbled eggshell head. Nice full nose of tropical fruit and caramel. Same in the flavor. Dry clean finish and a bit creamy on the palate.

On tap at the brewery in Truckee. Orange pour, white head. Aroma is pretty straightforward citrus and pine. Decent malt bakcbone. Pretty good.
