Thanks to Beer Savant for sharing during his 50th birthday bash. Pours a dark brown color with a medium foamy tan head that diminishes slowly. Patchy lacing. Aroma of roast malt and coffee. Full-bodied with flavors of roast malt, dark chocolate and coffee. The finish is roasty with a resiny hops and malt aftertaste. Good beer all around. cpetrone84 (1810) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 12, 2013
Pour is jet black with a dark caramel head and lots of large bubbles. Nose is roast, olive, touch of marker, a hint ashy, and notes of chocolate cake. Taste has light roast, cake is brighter, lots of bakers chocolate and some malt sweetness. the magic marker is gone. Creamy full body, good carbonation and a lingering roasted bitterness trough the finish. drsordr (2635) - Loveland, Ohio, USA - JUN 26, 2013

Pretty decent imperial stout that has most of the good things you’re looking for from barrel aging. Gription79 (2886) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - APR 25, 2013
Had on draft at the brewery. Chocolate, coffee, fruity, floral, resiny, nice and easy drinking. I enjoy the barrel aged versions, Eclipse, but this is amazing on its own.
