i had this on tap at figueroa mountain brewing and it’s a nicely done brown ale. Roasty and tasty, I’d have this again joeneugs (6371) - Livermore, California, USA - APR 5, 2014
On tap at Cato’s Alehouse. It pours a deep reddish brown color with a khaki head. The aroma is nice and toasty with some chocolate and nuts. The flavor is nutty and toasted with strong earthy, menthol and spicy hop character. Medium/strong bitter finish. The malts work really well with the hop varieties and usage. This is a West Coast Brown Ale I can get behind. Really tasty. topher_78 (28) - California, USA - SEP 24, 2012
The beer poured a very light brown with red hues on the sides of the glass and 1/2 finger of a khaki colored head. The aroma was slightly muted and consisted of toasted malt. Davy Brown is true to the style and the flavors were of toasted malt, nuttiness and was very smooth. skmikeg (1826) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 12, 2013
UPDATED: JAN 13, 2013 Pour from Bomber. Pours a light brown with a small tan head which fades to light lacing. Aroma is nutty and also includes some lightly roasted malts, caramel, coffee, and molasses notes. Taste is similar with a lot nut and toast character but also some nice coffee and molasses notes, plus some mild hop bitterness. Has a medium body with a well carbonated but still creamy mouthfeel and a semi bitter, nutty finish. Overall, a tasty brown that makes me want to try other beers from this relatively new brewer. badpuppy69 (321) - orange, California, USA - JAN 16, 2014
Pours a clear dark brown with nice soapy tan head. Aroma is milk chocolate and slight dark fruits and roasted malts. Taste follows the Aroma well with a medium mouth feel. Nice brown ale. Well made.

Live ’15 - SA, danke either motelpogo or oldmanriver... Smells like pancakes drizzled with caramelised maple syrup. Seamy, easygoing silky mouthfeel, feeding you a liquid dessert of toffee, milk chocolate cake spiked with hoppy red berries. Mellow & nice.
Bottle sampled at Chris and Ruth’s place in London. Clear amber beer with a nice beige head. Fruity caramel aroma, roasted, vinous, toffee, some hay. Roasted chocolate flavor, toffee, vinous, caramel, some hay. Quite nice.
