Bottle; poured a dark cola brown color. Aroma was hoppy for the style, with a definite NW profile. Fruity, earthy, a bit of spice and some roasted/caramel. Had a nice twist on the style, with a solid balance of malt and hop components. NW style hops; Finish transitioned from hops to caramel/roasted in a nice way. Good stuff BeerFunGuy (875) - California, USA - NOV 24, 2013
This dark brown beer has an inviting aroma of nutmeg. It has a roasted malt flavor of chocolate and caramel. Very good!

Live ’15 - SA, danke either motelpogo or oldmanriver... Smells like pancakes drizzled with caramelised maple syrup. Seamy, easygoing silky mouthfeel, feeding you a liquid dessert of toffee, milk chocolate cake spiked with hoppy red berries. Mellow & nice.

Bottle shared by beerboxer. Pours brown with a thin beige head and a burnt toast aroma. There is a hearty chocolate and roasted malt flavor that is a bit nutty with a slightly bitter finish. BOLTZ7555 (3027) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - NOV 15, 2012
Deep chestnut and mahogany pour with a small eggshell head that left very little in terms of lacing. Aroma is muted. Roasted malt, nuttiness, and a hint of caramel. Flavor is so much better than its nose. Cocoa, light coffee notes, almond and cashew, char, and vanilla. Moderate mouthfeel and mild alcohol...easy drinkin’. Solid. dhunter151 (590) - Santa Rosa, California, USA - NOV 22, 2013

Deep brown color. Nice caramel and toasted malt notes. Seems to be more like a porter than a regular brown ale, but a very tasty one.
