Hurricane Deck IPA is an aggressive IPA designed with hopheads in mind. We blend four hops, Columbus, Centennial, Chinook and Cascade, to recreate the ruggedness and intensity of the Trail. The higher alcohol content and skillful use of specialty malts emphasize the clean, crisp hop character.

Cloudy amber orange with an off-white head and moderate lace. Piney hops intrude on a base of caramel malt with some citrus and grassy notes. Bitterness rules in the flavor profile, with generous pine and citrus hops, caramel malt and a hint of alcohol. Full body, medium carbonation, creamy mouthfeel and a lingering caramel in the finish.

Bottle pour. Hazy dark copper with a good size soapy white head. Aroma is floral hops, nuts, citrus, and a little alcohol. Medium body. Salty with a slight bitter finish.

GABF 2015. On cask, with citra. Cloudy orange color and white head. Aroma is dry hops, flavor more hops, dry, malt takes a back seat but the palate is thick and I expected more malt presence. Solid. I think it benefited from cask.

Very hazy deep amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is airy and has a fine crispness. Sweetish malts, trace of lactose, mild malt cream. Hops bring tangerine and tangerine peel. Mild crystallised fruits. Hop spice and modest floral bitterness. Tangy finish leads to a bitter linger. Decent.

22 bomber to cervoise. Pours deep clear amber, tan head. Aroma of caramel malts, nuts, earth and slight citrus. Taste is very malt forward with some hints of pine, nut, grass, dark malts, some cocoa and slight orange marmalade. Not a very hoppy taste or finish. Not very bitter either.

Clear golden amber colour with a small white head. Strong resiny and piney hops, strong bitterness and sweet malt in the aroma. The flavour is resiny hops, moderate bitterness, dryness and malt. Tasty, strong and lasting.

>> Deep amber pour, good lace. Nose is dark orange, celery, tomato. Taste is celery, heavier/dense body, mild alcohol, dark orange. Probably my least favorite of their core brands.

Bottle @ DØE. Pours golden with a offwhite head. Aroma of malt, little spice, fruity hops, citrus, light pine. Flavor is malt, hops, earthy, spice, bitter citrus, piney, resin. Medium body, average carbonation, bitter finish with some light warming alcohol. 150415

Bottle. I got a slight eruption on this, but it settled quickly. However, I dod get a little funk on the palate here, musty and dirty like a grandmother’s attic. The chewy woodiness underneath takes second seat. (#5943, 3/20/2015)
