Rich amber/cider color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of caramel malt, hops, & some fruit; Flavor of sweet malt, pine hops, caramel, fruit, and some citrus; Finish is fairly bitter; Not too bad. Drake (14058) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 17, 2015
Bottle shared at a tasting. Clear copper, thin fizzy white head, decent retention. Aroma of toffee and earth. The taste is caramel, booze, harsh hops. Medium bodied, harsh. TattooJack (518) - Illinois, USA - MAR 24, 2015
Poured from the bomber, nice brownish red color with some foam. I think the flavor of this one doesn’t match up with the look. Taste is a lot stronger than 7.5%, It’s like getting ro’ shambo’d to be honest. Dfonorow (2250) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 22, 2014
On tap @ Beer Camp - Chicago. Pour is murky red/brown with a small off-white head. Notes of toffee, booze, caramel malt, citrus, and oak. Finish is boozy. BVery (11209) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - NOV 2, 2014
Tap at the brewpub. Orange-amber pour with a spotty white head. Caramel and toffee. Kinda boozy. Just okay for me.

Cloudy, tea-brown with a bit of red tint....thin white cap.
Bitter caramel, boozy aroma.
Taste is dark fruit, caramel malt, fairly astringent alcohol bittering.
Rather harsh. b3shine (9072) - Indiana, USA - SEP 19, 2014
Draft to taster at HopCat in Indy. Looks solid; a semi-transparent caramel orange with bubbly eggshell lacing. Smells bittersweetly malty. Seem caramel. Tastes like it smells, but less balanced. Average (at best) on the palate. Not my thing. hotstuff (5232) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - APR 17, 2014
Rated on 9-07-2011 (Bottle) This beer has a small fizzy ivory head that mostly diminishes, hazy copper body, very fizzy, fast rising carbonation, and one ring of lacing. The aroma is caramel malt, toffee, citrus hops, fruity, and sweet. The flavor is caramel malt, citrus hops, bitter, sweet, and has a semi-dry finish. The mouthfeel is tingly carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. This beer is very quaffable. The malts are upfront in the aroma and the flavor with the hops taking a backseat. Beautiful caramel malts lend notes of toffee and whiskey. This is one of the finest Imperial Red Ales out there. Headbanger (4020) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - APR 15, 2014
22oz bottle 4/15/14 (Crown Liquors #15-Fishers)-40° in Snifter-Pours a murky dark amberish brown with a small off white head. Aroma of toffee, whisky, caramel, and cotton candy. Dead on from brewer. Taste of the same with alcohol and bitterness coming thru. This full bodied brew is not bad but was expecting more flavor based on the the aroma.
