3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Subtle notes of bread and cereal, and earthy floral aromas invaded my nostrils. Well proportioned, the nose on this ale is pleasant without dulling my sense of smell. That allows for greater appreciation of the light sweetness in the taste and lingering medium bitterness. However, being nitro is probably the main reason I enjoyed it. The creaminess and soft mouth feel are a fine palate for the aroma and taste, making it an excellent session ale. Order it as your first pint at the brewpub, before you’ve assaulted your senses with less delicate selections.
I didn’t get much of the creamy texture as advertised. A nice balance of hops and malts with a very mild hop flavor and a slightly bitter finish. Not bad.
