A very popular beer in Fiji and good to knock back around a pool in the hot sun. In terms of beer it is not the finest lager on the planet but it does solve the problem of thirst in the desert. It is good value in Fiji where imported beers are pricey. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle 0.33l sample at Ratebeer Belgian Winter Gathering 2017 Antwerp, Belgium at Beerlovers Bar 25.02.2017. Thanks everybody for sharing great beers! Pour it golden color with no head. Aroma corn and malty. Taste corn, honey, sugary detergent, better than previous one from Dubai, light body, thin feel, average carbonation.

25/II/17 - 33cl bottle @ RBBWG (Beerlovers Bar, Antwerpen) - BB: 23/VIII/17, bottled: 23/XI/16 (2017-218) Thanks to 77ships for sharing the bottle!

Not a new country tick, not even a new brewery tick, but hey, a tick is a tick I guess... :p
Clear pale yellowish beer, small white head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: cow fodder, malty, grains, beh. MF: soft carbon, medium to light body. Taste: cow fodder, grains, slightly sourish, sweet and sugary. Aftertaste: corn flakes, bit metallic, bah.

Geproefd @ RBBWG2017. Helder blond met kleine witte schuimkraag. Geur en smaak zijn heel chemisch en bitter. Totaal niet mijn ding.

Bottle share at RBBWG 2017, thanks for sharing.

Alengrin (5369) - BELGIUM - MAR 1, 2017
Bottle shared at RBBWG 2017. Close to every country in the world seems to have its nationale pale lager and this is the one from the Fiji Islands. Thick, moussy, snow white head, clear pure pale golden blonde robe. Utterly unpleasant aroma of steamed broccoli, sweaty grains, strong DMS (cooked white cabbage), chicken corn, melting rubber, burnt plastic even. Neutral onset, slick thin graininess with a metallic edge, tad corn-like, even a little bit soapy but in a chemical kind of way; grainy finish with unpleasant plastic effect, almost no hops. Plastic-like and sulfuric, thin and way below average even for an industrial standard lager without any other ambitions than to quench the thirst. Be sure to take your own beer with you if you ever consider to visit this tropical paradise.
