Purchased at Mariano's in Chicago, IL; enjoyed near the lakefront at a friends going away party. Appearance is a dark murky brown with a thin white head. Aroma is malty, mostly caramel and light syrup, decent. Taste is good, mostly malty, moderate potency. Overall good stuff. jtclockwork (16602) - , New Jersey, USA - JUN 13, 2014

16oz can from Crossroads. Pours a murky brownish amber color with a finger of foamy tan head. Aroma of strong caramel malt, some rye spice, rotted grapefruit, and earth. Taste of caramel malt, earthy hops, rotted citrus, spice, and booze. Aroma and taste are very barlywineish. phaleslu (10276) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAY 26, 2014
16 oz. can brought down by friends from Chicago - thanks, Mike and Rachel! Pours a clear copper orange with a beige head. The hops are more aggressive in this than I anticipated; florals, citrus rind, and grass, to go with caramel, resin, brown sugar, and some rye. Light-medium bodied, with a bitter mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Drinks like a hoppy imperial amber. BVery (10510) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - MAY 25, 2014
UPDATED: OCT 22, 2014 Can. Murky reddish amber pour with a spotty head. Caramel malt sweetness with a bit of fruit rind late. A bit of rye spiciness and a nice hop profile. Pretty solid beer. keepersj12 (3117) - Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA - MAY 19, 2014
Nice brew, my first from this brewery. Pours a reddish amber with a thin head. Caramel and sweet malt in the aroma. The flavor has quite a bit of sweet malt up front but is balanced with a nice hop bitterness. The finish is dry with no alcohol to be found. A deceptive beer, beware the 8% ABV.

16oz can. Pours a cloudy brown amber with a medium beige head, mild lacing. Aroma and Taste is caramel malt, yeast bready notes, some dark fruit and alcohol esters, mild hops bitterness. Palate is a medium to full body, moderate carbonation and some sticky mouth feel. Finishes with caramel malt, mild roasted malt, yeast and bready notes, a bit of dark dried fruit and mild bitterness. Overall not the best in class but still quite good and enjoyable.
