16oz can from Crossroads. Pours a murky brownish amber color with a finger of foamy tan head. Aroma of strong caramel malt, some rye spice, rotted grapefruit, and earth. Taste of caramel malt, earthy hops, rotted citrus, spice, and booze. Aroma and taste are very barlywineish.

16 oz. can brought down by friends from Chicago - thanks, Mike and Rachel! Pours a clear copper orange with a beige head. The hops are more aggressive in this than I anticipated; florals, citrus rind, and grass, to go with caramel, resin, brown sugar, and some rye. Light-medium bodied, with a bitter mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Drinks like a hoppy imperial amber.

UPDATED: OCT 22, 2014 Can. Murky reddish amber pour with a spotty head. Caramel malt sweetness with a bit of fruit rind late. A bit of rye spiciness and a nice hop profile. Pretty solid beer.

Nice brew, my first from this brewery. Pours a reddish amber with a thin head. Caramel and sweet malt in the aroma. The flavor has quite a bit of sweet malt up front but is balanced with a nice hop bitterness. The finish is dry with no alcohol to be found. A deceptive beer, beware the 8% ABV. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

16oz can. Pours a cloudy brown amber with a medium beige head, mild lacing. Aroma and Taste is caramel malt, yeast bready notes, some dark fruit and alcohol esters, mild hops bitterness. Palate is a medium to full body, moderate carbonation and some sticky mouth feel. Finishes with caramel malt, mild roasted malt, yeast and bready notes, a bit of dark dried fruit and mild bitterness. Overall not the best in class but still quite good and enjoyable.

Roasty flavor with a touch of high alcoholic sweetness. Pour is a beautiful amber with a nice light brown head.

Warner Robins, Ga. - Lazy Dog Growler - 16 oz can. Dark orange with a reddish tint and a filmy off-white head. Aroma has a hint of too much crystal malt, some cake mix maltiness. Flavor is full bodied with some caramel sweetness, a bit of pomegranate fruitiness, some cherry juice, a touch of bitter citrus and just a touch of homebrew crystal malt funkiness. Mouthfeel has a creamy thickness to it. Needs just a touch of refinement - but not bad to get your drink on.

16oz tall boy can from Spirits Crossroads. Poured a swampy reddish brown body with a smaller beige tight foamy head. Aroma is sweet malts, toffee, molasses, grains and some sugary raisin. Medium to fuller body, tight bubbly carbonation, chalky, harsh finish. Flavor is dry grains, toffee, molasses, dry caramel, some fruit rinds, sugar. Not bad.

Appearance: Murky red/amber body with no head.
Aroma: Sweet caramel and bubblegum, very weak strength.
Taste: Sweet caramel with a mild bitterness of citrus.
Palate: Full-bodied, mildly carbonated.
Overall: Easy to drink, but everything is muted about this. Its as if you took a Lagunitas American strong ale and muted it all.
