COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Secret Stache Stout is a robust stout. The specialty ingredients, vanilla bean and lactose, lend to its complexity and full flavor. While no actual chocolate was used to brew this beer, heaps of chocolate malt give the beer its color as well as its chocolate and coffee notes.

UPDATED: JUN 22, 2013 Yum, yum, yum. This is one mighty-fine beer. Beautifully dark with a smooth, rich palate. Little to no after taste. No bitterness at all. Great drinkable beer.

16 oz. can from the Free Beer Week box sent by gregwilsonstl - thanks again, Greg! Pours a dark, nearly opaque coffee brown with a finger of tan head that settles into a ring and light film, leaving a few ropes of trailing lace in the glass. Super smooth, with creamy milk chocolate and fudge, sutble vanilla, tobacco-like hops, mild coffee and roasted malts, and the slightest dark fruit tang. Light-bodied, with a smooth, thin, sweet mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Really easy sipper. Not overly sweet. The vanilla here is subtle, and I appreciate that. Makes it more crushable.

Very strong chocolate milk aroma explodes from the can. Nice cocoa nib flavor. Cola like carbonation. Vanilla. Roasted. Which it was a bitter thicker. Top 50 sweet stout for a reason.

Can. Opaque dark brown, creamy/frothy light brown head. Aromas of roasted malts, coffee, lactose, light alcohol. Medium to full bodied, soft carbonation. Thick and creamy. Medium sweet, medium to light bitter. Deep toasted flavors into a smooth coffee finish.

Can, 1 pint. A dark beer with a medium size brown head. Aroma is of coffee, dried fruits, alcohol and hints of metal. Taste is medium bitter with a dried fruit characater. Medium bodied with almost no carbonation. Sweet vanilla finish. Feels kind of alcoholic.

Shared 16 oz. can poured to snifters at Lunar Brewing Co., showing a black/brown hue, with a respectable layer of brownish tan head foam, and spots & strands of lacing. The aroma presented hints of freezer burn & woodiness, roastiness, cocoa, vanilla bean including the skin, and a bit of caramel sweetness. A little less than medium bodied, with fair carbonation, and a touch of creaminess to the mouthfeel, the taste was somewhat similar to the nose, with a distinct dose of tobacco that partnered with dryness, and a roasted & earthy bitterness. The texture was also milder than medium, and although not all that sweet & robust, this Stout offered a fairly decent smoothness & tastiness.

Can at Vihreä Haltiatar. Pours black colour with moderate head. Roasted malts, a bit of smoke, ham, a bit bitter aroma, a tad sweet milk. Little below medium body, good carbonation.

16 oz can. The pour is a thin black with a thick pillowy light khaki head that falls down to a ring, waving some good lace. The aroma is interesting. There is a lot of roasty malt. A decent chocolate, lightly bitter, light vanilla and a strong lactose. Light, but not bad. The flavor is more roasty. There is a bit of a bitter chocolate and a light vanilla. It’s decent. Heavy roast and light bitter chocolate define it. Maybe a light sweet lactose on the finish. The mouth feel is thin and watery at first, but the carbonation is excellent. The aftertaste is roasty and dry with a hint of bitter chocolate and a light vanilla-tinted lactose. Pretty decent beer
