COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Threadless/Finch collaboration IPA is a balanced experience of both perceived hoppiness and true bitterness. It pours a darker amber color and finishes with a citrus flavor, and when combined, will require this to be the last IPA you ever drink! Well, maybe, we realize you will probably drink more, but the result of this recipe clearly evolves into a very balanced IPA. The grain bill on this big pale includes melanoidin and Victory malts. We hop it up before the boil starts with some Columbus first wort hopping, then add a bunch more for bittering.

This is a creamy IPA. Well balanced with hops from beginning to end. It started with a nice head and stayed for the most part.

Pours cloudy orange with a thin wispy off-white head. Notes of resinous, coarse hops, pine and pepper. Full bodied, moderately resinous with lively carbonation.

Pours a very hazy orange straw color. Thin white head that stayed the whole glass and left some nice lacing. Malt and some hops in the aroma. Very creamy mouthfeel and it tastes like this was whole cone hoped. Very grassy, earthy characteristics.

Deep orange pour. Aroma is pretty strong of caramel malts and some moderate grapefruit hopping. Caramel comes across fairly thick in the flavor as well, along with an astringent grapefruit pine bitterness. Rustic, grassy character. Jello-like on the palate. Not bad, just not that enjoyable.

16oz. can: Pours a clear copperish-orange with a frothy off-white head that is mostly lasting. Citrusy, hoppy aroma & flavor has hints of orange, caramel, and pine. Has a creamy texture with a mild bitterness in the finish. Not over powering with the hops....easy drinking & delicious! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can. pours medium orange. Intense rich maltiness and Strong spicy citrusy and floral hops with some caramel malts. Flavor is similar but lends more hop and malt blended complexities. Medium full body, creamy, and moderate bitterness on the finish. Really tasty.

Pint-size can. Poured medium orangey-peach with a sticky off-white head. The aroma picked up blood orange, earth, and pine hoppage over biscuit, bready, and honey sweetness.. much more lovely orange as it warmed up. The flavor found fruity notes plus some honey at the core.. moderate bitterness at most around, with orange and pineapple leading.. finished with more citrus over toffee and caramel malts. Light-medium bodied with moderate carbonation on the palate.. OK feel and flow.. solid.

8/11/12. GTMW. Dark orange pour with a nice khaki head. The aroma shows maltiness, caramel, and a balanced dose of smooth, citrusy hops. Balanced flavor as well with caramel and maltiness that finishes dry and smooth with some more citrusy hops. Not bad.

Pour is cloudy orange. Tan head dies quickly with minimum lacing on glass. Wonderful nose of pine, floral, sugar, caramel, and fresh bakery. Flavor is of floral hops, grapefruit, and pine. Low carbonation. I love bitter hops, but these are too bitter and overpower the other flavors. This drags the score down. Also, for this style the alcohol content is too low.

Pours a nice clear amber with a thick and rather persistent light tan head. Hoppy aroma has an undertone of grapefruit and a hint of yeast. Flavor has hoppy, grassy, citrus and yeast notes, a little bitterness and a touch of sweetness. Texture has firm, smooth body, and fizz is not strong but persists. Definitely tweet.
