COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Threadless/Finch collaboration IPA is a balanced experience of both perceived hoppiness and true bitterness. It pours a darker amber color and finishes with a citrus flavor, and when combined, will require this to be the last IPA you ever drink! Well, maybe, we realize you will probably drink more, but the result of this recipe clearly evolves into a very balanced IPA. The grain bill on this big pale includes melanoidin and Victory malts. We hop it up before the boil starts with some Columbus first wort hopping, then add a bunch more for bittering.

Wonderful, cloudy, amber color. Firm body with average head. Hop aroma was fruity, but hop after taste was just bitter.

bubbleflubber (2227) - Swannanoa, North Carolina, USA - JUN 1, 2014
Pours cloudy orange into the glass, with a nice eggshell head that reduces to thick ring lacing. The nose is of musty orange citrus. Flavors are well-bittered from beginning to end, with orange and lemon upfront, and a decent grain bill hitting mid-palate. The close is nice and of lingering peppery bitters. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied with a juicy palate and medium-soft carbonation. Drinkability and complexity meet in the middle, with a substantive nature that goes down very nicely. Well-bittered for the hop head, this is a nice IPA!

msante79 (2225) - Mount Prospect, Illinois, USA - FEB 19, 2012
On tap at Tokyo Pub. Pours cloudy orangish copper with off white head. Aromas of citrus, tropical fruit, floral hops, and some malt. Flavors of light tropical fruit, and citrus hops, but is really dominated by malt base. Really lacking hop profile. Something seemed off and did not seem fresh.

ROGUE (2215) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - OCT 6, 2013
16oz can. Pours a hazy amber color with a two finger white head that leaves good lacing and falls to a cap. Aroma is apricot, some citrus rind, herbal, grassy, floral hops and a bit of pine, and a decent amount of caramel malt. Flavor is orange citrus, apricot, pine, resinous hops, good caramel malt backbone offering some sweetness, that finishes with good bitterness, and mild alcohol. Medium bodied, creamy, good carbonation.

Can. Clear amber with a big eggshell head. Aroma is floral with hints of melon and caramel malt. Taste is similar but adds a roasty and earthy note. A little weird but not awful. Rich smooth mouthfeel. Kind of an odd beer but still enjoyable.

16oz can. Pours a very hazy golden amber qith a white head. Another below average for the style brew from Finch’s. Watery mouthfeel. Some slight pine and apricot notes, enough to make it drinkable but nothing great here.

HonusWagner (2168) - Florida, USA - SEP 30, 2013
Aroma of Pineapple, caramel, a little bit...minty? Lightly sweet flavor, modest bitterness on the finish, taste isn’t exactly world-shattering but a solid all-around IPA flavor. Good beer, most notable for being extremely cloudy with lots of floating sediment.

jjgmd (2161) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - JUN 23, 2012
Pours an hazy amber reddish color. Nose is citrus and pine, with a tangerine and peach nose predominating, quite pleasant nose. Taste is all citrus with very heavy bitterness at first than settles down quite delightfully. Finish is moderately long with some sweetness. Nice ! Quaff Score 8 / 10

TheBeerOrg (2145) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - AUG 25, 2012
Pours cloudy orange with a thin wispy off-white head. Notes of resinous, coarse hops, pine and pepper. Full bodied, moderately resinous with lively carbonation.
