Tap at kierans with samdueche. Almost black with medium tan head. Subtle roasted nose. Sweet taste, with underlying typical stout characteristics. Decent body but a bit thin for style. Pretty good. hfmejias (1283) - Marshall, Minnesota, USA - JAN 17, 2016
12 Fl. Is. Bottle. Poured black, with a brown head, and lots of lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, and even some chocolate. Taste is bitter, lots of coffee and roasted grain nicely balanced with the sweetness of malts, there are some caramel notes and also some chocolate. Very good beer, drinkable and very enjoyable. vandc01 (460) - North Branch, USA - DEC 28, 2015

UPDATED: OCT 29, 2015 Tap at New Bohemia in Golden Valley in the bumped pint glass. Dark brown with tannish head. Strong coffee aroma and subtle chocolate hints. Mouthfeel is slightly thin but with a little bit of silky smooth finish. Taste has a healthy amount of bitterness with coffee taking center stage. Dark chocolate comes through as well. Definitely a drying presence. Feels like a textbook stout but missing the mouthfeel I enjoy from the style. Finnegan’s doesn’t produce any stellar efforts and this one feels about as good as anything they do. wlajwl (7283) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - OCT 21, 2015
