Finnegans Irish Amber is brewed with three varieties of imported two-row malts. The beer is pale amber in color but light in body. A gentle hop bitterness compliments its complex malt character.

Finnegans is currently available on tap and in liquor stores throughout the state of Minnesota. Finnegans is unique in that 100% of the profits are donated to The Finnegans Community Fund which disburses grants to help the working poor and at-risk youth throughout Minnesota.

This beer is pretty bad. I picked it up in St.Paul and was surprised how stale it tasted. Unnecessarily sweet with a chemically aftertaste.

Quite malty and sweet, reminding me of a beer lollipop. The front is bready and caramelly, and the finish is simple and one-dimensional. This isn’t a fancy beer and if I didn’t know otherwise I would have said it was made with poor quality ingredients--somewhat adjuncty in its malty mid-palate. A bit fizzy, which is a relief to the palate. (On tap at a private event in St. Paul)

Aroma is caramel malts and an odd nutty character. The flavor is caramel malts, a small hint of hops and a tart finish.

Bottle. Pours amber, no head, active carbonation. Malty aroma and flavor. Thin mouthfeel. Not horrible, but definitely forgettable.

Bottle. Pours a clear a pale amber orange with very visible carbonation and a white head that dissipates and laces slightly. Aroma is thin with a decent amount of corn with a a bit of sweetness and hints of grass notes. Flavor is similarly thin with light grains and corn and a bit of grass.

BOTTLE and TAP: Pour is amber. Aroma of malt and caramel. Taste is carmel, slight lemon hops. A bit of an alcohol burn.

Pouts a light golden color with a light spiced scent. The taste is slightly copper and it's a decent crisp beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle pours a hazy copper/orange with a small white head. Aroma of caramel malts, tobacco, and citrus. Taste of caramel, nuts, crisp. By no means amazing but enjoyable. I’ve enjoyed this one many times out and about. Sessionable and hey it feels good to drink for a cause.

UPDATED: SEP 28, 2011 Bottle. Pours with a slight head. Good but rather blah. Refreshing but not spectacular.

Serving glass: Poured from bottle into clear cup. Appearance: Light golden-amber with slight head and minimal lacing. Aroma: Very light malts, with caramel and slight spicy hops. Taste: Mild caramel malts with a slight hop finish. Palate: Moderately high carbonation, light to medium body, semi-dry finish. Overall: Easy to drink and quite pleasant, but nothing special.
