its been done before....but we appreciate it everytime. pine cone hop presence and tangy malt flavor that competes and finshes long. nice mouthfeel just a touch foamy. sessionable for the hop head. satisfying to the careful. no real sweetness yet full of flavor and touch of citrus in the end. this is very good beer. @Pegulier Pub (NYC). Amber to dark gold, with a good full off-white head. misty. nose: old beer? I checked BB, no sign. If this is fresh, grrreat nose. if this is old, great nose. Really, does make me think about Old Westmalle Triple. complex, yeast, malts. taste: mature malts, some worked-out hops, by now, i am pretty much sure that is is an old bottle. IPA can age ok. nice beer. Although, I would prefrred to have it young. missing a bit on the intensity of an IPA. kerenmk (4751) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - FEB 6, 2012
Bottle. Beer of the month club. Pours hazy copper with minimal head. Nose: candy, very sweet and malty. Mouth: crisp and very bitter. Medium dry finish, high carbonation, light aftertaste. Good beer. fredandboboflo (1570) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 2, 2010
Bottle. Aroma of sweet caramel, some floral and fruity hops beneath. Flavor quite sweet and rich with the caramel, hops more of a balancing though still lightly fruity aspect. Not really what the beer geek looks for in an IPA, but I found it to be pretty rich and tasty malt-wise. dextermorgan (97) - New York, New York, USA - JUN 19, 2012
Pours amber red with a good amount of head. Good balance and taste. Tasted at Brooklyn Waterfront Beer Festival, 6/16/2012.

Drank out of a bottle. Aroma is kind of toasted with caramel touches while the aroma is not typically IPA style. Taste of roast and some minor hoppiness. Nice beer but surprised on the IPA etiquette. LilBeerDoctor (3930) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 1, 2010
Bottle. Pours a deep orange with a thick white head. Aroma of caramel malt, floral hops, toasted malt. Flavor of sweet caramel malt with some bitterness in the finish. Has some English IPA notes and hop character. Decent to drink, but nothing special.

A- Body is a translucent, medium amber, orange hue. Pours with a decent 1-2 finger white head that eventually fades to a thin moderate collar. Very small traces of lacing left here and there. Body is nearly transparent.
S- Nose is mild and hoppy components are the highlight. Pine stands out the most but there is also an earthiness to it. Sweet caramel malt provides a good backbone.
T- The initial flavor is mild and offers an earthy hop flavor with a mild accent of citrus and scant caramel malt backbone. A touch of pine and a little bit more citrus comes through for the finish. Left to linger is a mild to moderate strength residual hop bitterness. Entire flavor profile is mild to moderate strength. No intense flavors here.
P-Medium carbonation and light to medium weight body. Little hop oils present in the feel.
O- This is a solid, decent example of a classic American IPA. Nothing exciting about it- but it definitely fits the style’s profile.

Scored this 12oz bottle as an extra in a trade with Brooha. Thanks BJ! Pours a transparent, copper amber with a thin, creamy, lacing white head. Aroma is malty, crackers, biscuit, some oranges, light citrus, light caramel, a little bread. Flavor is a good mix of sweet and bitter, caramel, cookie dough, oranges, lemons, biscuit, apples. Finish is crisp, medium carbonation. Jow (3923) - New York, USA - MAY 17, 2010
