COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A delightful, aged, roasty stout. Smooth and rich, yet light bodied and dry. With a hint of sweet and a pleasing aftertaste of coffee and chocolate, this stout is a pleasure to drink. N.W. Cascades and Fuggles give this stout its hop essentials. CHEERS!

Bomber thanks to Brewdad. Pours a pure black color with a thick dark brown head. The aroma is sweet roast, caramel and some chocolate. A very nice flavor; chocolate, bitter hops, sweet caramel and roasted malts, quite smooth and hoppy, more like a mellow stout or porter. Very good. Some ash and roast in the finish.

Black body with tan foamage. Nice dark chocolate, sugared up black coffee, roasty aromas. medium bodied. Sweet dark chocolate flavors with a burnt black malt, coffee astringency to balance--good

Stygian body topped with a thick, lush, dark coffee head. Smoothly roasty nose is soon overtaken my black patent sootnyess. Smoky and roasty befitting Hades or a coal burning plant. The body is salty and smoky roastness. A solid, stoutly brew, but the saltiness was a bit distracting for me.

A deep dark stout with a thick recedingdark brown head. In aroma, grassy chocolate, mineral notes, licorice. In mouth, a smooth bitter chocolate with coffee notes, vanila and licorice. Bottle at OBF Fringe Fest Belmont Station, July 30 2011.

I love the simple logo, great aroma, taste is excellent, but the aftertaste is a bit offensive. Overall, 16/20, super beer.

Pours from a 22 oz bottle purchased at Market of Choice in Ashland, Oregon this poured black with a very attractive tan head and good lacing. Nose of roasted malts with chocolate and coffee. Medium body and good creamy mouthfeel. Flavor is rich bitter chocolate with some nice hop bitterness that carries over into the finish. A great micro-brewery beer.

Black pour, thick tan head on it. Very ashy, charred, bitter nose with some chocolate. Lots of ash, char, coffee on the flavor as well with a little sweetness and chocolate lurking underneath.

22. Thanks nena. Pours black with a dense creamy burnt tan head. Big herbal hop nose with plenty of ash and dark bitter chocolate mixed in. Creamy sticky medium body. Mildly sweet chocolatey roasty mid palate. Long sticky sweet chocolate finish.

Draught at Bier Stein. Dark brown pour with a 2 inch tan head. Roasted aroma with hints of coffee and chocolate. Flavor much the same, pretty typical stout all in all, but I’m glad this place exists in my good old home county of Yamhill.
