3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
One finger of tan head. Pitch black body.
The smell is a faint roasted malt and chocolate.
The taste is good and interesting. Roasted malt, bread, chalk, chocolate and powder.
Low carbonation and medium to thicker body.
It is a good stout with a little different taste, which is good.
Purchased for $5.95 at Fred Meyer. We did a blind tasting with this one. Smokey, chocolate tastes were noted.

Bomber from Capital Market. Slick black in color. Strong roasty nose. Some hoppiness and coffee. A little alcohol in there as well. Fairly light carbonation. Smooth and roasty. A little sweetness. Some coffee and chocolate as well. Tasty stout. geologyguy (1674) - Columbia, South Carolina, USA - NOV 12, 2014
No head retention, smell is of coffee and is light, coffee taste more than anything else and it is slightly bitter. Finish is a mix of seltzer bitterness and coffee.. Nothing special here..boring Ernest (7862) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUL 3, 2014

Head is initially average sized, frothy, brown, mostly lasting.
Body is black.
Aroma is moderately to heavily malty (chocolate syrup, chocolate milk, roasted grain), with a note of vanilla.
Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly bitter.
Finish is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately bitter.
Medium to full body, velvety/syrupy texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic.
Quite one-dimensional in the nose, choco-vanilla all the way, but not unpleasant. Overly sweet in the mouth, hard to drink a lot of it. Forgettable but not bad.
22 oz bottle served in a Belgian snifter.

Prying cap releases a blast of compressed air but the beer remains well-behaved. The pour, however, is very foamy and even a gentle pour leaves mostly foam in the glass.
Aroma: some resemblance to an infected beer (hence, the foamy pour?)
Flavor: mild and well balanced, with only a slight hint of infection. Trace of coffee in the finish and weak aftertaste.

Pours dark brown with a dark tan head. Nice stouty aroma featuring a touch of coffee and malt. Nice taste that has a classic stouty coffee, malt, and mocha. A bit fizzy.
Bottle from Hop City Birmingham - pours pitch with ridiculous milk chocolate head. It’s coffee, dark chocolate, and molasses. Nice! emacgee (4708) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - JUN 12, 2013

A very good high end stout. Chocolatey malty goodness; thick but not syrupy mouthfeel. Delicious. 9.25 BD 8.75 Rod. Perhaps 9.9 in category.
