Mid black with a decent bubbly tan head.
Roast malt nose, big molasses punch, a little paint and a touch of coffee.
Taste is roast malts, some notes of wood, chocolate, molasses.

Bomber thanks to Brewdad. Pours a pure black color with a thick dark brown head. The aroma is sweet roast, caramel and some chocolate. A very nice flavor; chocolate, bitter hops, sweet caramel and roasted malts, quite smooth and hoppy, more like a mellow stout or porter. Very good. Head is initially average sized, frothy, brown, mostly lasting.
Body is black.
Aroma is moderately to heavily malty (chocolate syrup, chocolate milk, roasted grain), with a note of vanilla.
Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly bitter.
Finish is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately bitter.
Medium to full body, velvety/syrupy texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic.
Quite one-dimensional in the nose, choco-vanilla all the way, but not unpleasant. Overly sweet in the mouth, hard to drink a lot of it. Forgettable but not bad.

Bomber. Poured delightfully dark brown with a creamy cap of sticky tan head. The aroma picked up dry, toasted coffee, chocolate, and vanilla with fresh pine and earthy accents.. a touch of sour lactic character too. The flavor found more coffee than anything else at the core.. lesser chocolate and molasses too.. lightly sour milky notes throughout.. a little smoke in there too. 650ml bomber pours black on color with 2 fingers of light beige head that left some hefty lacing on the glass. Aroma is dark roasted malts with hints of coffee and chocolate. Taste is roasted malt and coffee bitterness with some chocolate malty sweetness with a mild hop bitterness at the end. Medium to heavy body with decent carbonation. Pours from a 22 oz bottle purchased at Market of Choice in Ashland, Oregon this poured black with a very attractive tan head and good lacing. Nose of roasted malts with chocolate and coffee. Medium body and good creamy mouthfeel. Flavor is rich bitter chocolate with some nice hop bitterness that carries over into the finish. A great micro-brewery beer.

22 oz bottle served in a Belgian snifter.
Prying cap releases a blast of compressed air but the beer remains well-behaved. The pour, however, is very foamy and even a gentle pour leaves mostly foam in the glass.
Aroma: some resemblance to an infected beer (hence, the foamy pour?)
Flavor: mild and well balanced, with only a slight hint of infection. Trace of coffee in the finish and weak aftertaste.
