2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
First of, this is not a German Hefe, it is and American wheat all the way though. Hazy yellow with white head. Smell and taste of wheat. There is no banana / clove nots of the German style. As an American Wheat it is very good. No problems at all, clean and nice overall.
On tap @ Firehouse. Lightly hazed orange beer with a thin white head and a dang lemon wedge served in it. At least some bready character, but also very raw and doughy. There’s a lot of sweetness from bread and cereal grains here, but not a whole lot else going on. Maybe some unripe pear and definitely some apple. Sort of mealy, actually. No thanks. toml219 (285) - California, USA - SEP 25, 2013
Serving type: on-tap
Appearance- Came in a pint glass with no head. Color was a cloudy straw yellow. Lacing was okay.
Aroma- Smell was a mix of citrus and wheat. With a slight fruity smell.
T/P - Taste was of American wheat. Strong on the wheat with a very subtle taste of banana and clove. The beer was not over carbonated and went down very smooth.
Overall- A nice Hefeweizen, nothing to write home about, but I would defiantly give it ago again when I go back. I will update my notes after I try it a second time.

Hazy golden color with white head. Citrus, tart wheat, bready, fruity aromas. Medium body with average carbonation. Lightly sweet banana, citrus flavors with white bread, and a light tartness---not bad.
Tap. Pours hazy golden with a medium off white head and nice lacing. Aroma is very faint lemon and wheat. Flavor is the same with some banana Esters. Light sweet, quite lemony, no bitterness. Light body. Not bad. DruncanVeasey (8226) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - SEP 21, 2012
Sampler perched at the bar of the brewpub, 31/08/12, scribbling notes like a lunatic in retractable pencil on a scrap of paper. Grey-apricot haze skimmed with white. Lactic-edged, milky banana aroma. Farley’s rusk dunked in banana milk and lemondrop character. Not a classic but perfectly drinkable.

I’m glad this is classified as a wheat ale instead of hefeweizen. It stands up much better in a style without as much expectations. The pour is cloudy yellow, and it has a pleasantly crisp wheat character, a slightly tart middle and a lemon peel finish. A little doughy, and I did pick up some slight buttery diacetyl, but overall it was a nice refreshing wheat ale. No spicy yeast flavors to speak of at all. Hazy yellow colour. DMS, dirty dishwater and diacetyl. Watery palate. There’s very few redeeming qualities to this one. SamGamgee (2452) - down the whirlpool, California, USA - MAR 14, 2010
Draught at the brewpub. Hazy blond with a white head. Spicy nose with a hint of banana and wheat. A little sweet, but a good ester profile that has a nice mix of subtle clove and banana. Restrained, but still plenty of character. Low on the hops, but that’s to be expected. Highly carbonated and light in body. Pretty good hef. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 5, 2009
On tap. Pours a cloudy opaque golden with an off-white head. Sweetish fruity nose - but not very bananaish. Medium body, sweet fruit with only a discreet edge of yeast. Dry finish, OK as such, just not very Hefe-like. 250709 yespr (45398) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - JUL 28, 2009
From tap at the brewpub. Pours murky yellow with a small white head. Aroma is mild citric, light wheaty. Mild wheaty and subdued estery fruity flavoured. Light bitterness into a dry wheaty and slight phenolic finish.
