on tap-pours dark copper with a thin retaining light tan head that laces. Aroma is roasty medium malt-caramel. Taste is roasty medium malt-caramel/chocolate, 2nd earthy/citrus hops. rosenbergh (11809) - Tampere, FINLAND - OCT 3, 2016
Draught at the Firehouse Brewing Co, Rapid City, SD.
Clear mahogany color with a small off-white head.
Sweetness, caramel malt and some dryness in the aroma.
Caramel malt, sweetness and some cardboard in the flavor. Not bad for an Irish Red but I just don't get the magic in that style.

On draught at the Firehouse brewpub in downtown Rapid City, South Dakota. Pours a clear coppery amber brew with a creamy off-white head that has a slow dissolve and good lacing. Aroma of semi-sweet caramel malt, a touch of flowery hops and a touch of sweet fruit. Taste is medium bodied, lightly carbonated with a sweet caramel malt and mild citrus/flowery hops character. Finish is creamy, smooth and malty with a slight mild bitter aftertaste.

Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a gentle hazy red color with a light transparency about it. Bar pour yields a film of a white head that dissipated within less than a minute.
The smell had some bitter citrus-like hops with a light underscore of sweet caramel malts.
The taste was sweet, balanced between the malts and hops, and came across somewhat crisp.
On the palate, this was about a light in body. There was a slight sessionable aspect about it.
Overall, decent red ale worthy of having again. DiarmaidBHK (5921) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 31, 2013
Draft at brewpub. Pours reddish with a khaki head. Leaves a bit of lacing in the glass. Slight malt on the nose and tongue. 0 for 3. nickd717 (4889) - San Francisco, California, USA - FEB 2, 2009
On tap at the brewpub. Not a bad bet if you’re stuck in Rapid City. Nice red appearance with an off-white head. Aroma is caramel and slightly floral hops, not much to it though. Flavor is caramel malt, mild hoppiness, and slight fruitiness. Pretty standard red ale palate, nothing special there. johnnnniee (4408) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - NOV 12, 2011

Pours a deep reddish amber color with a smallish off white head that displays moderate retention. Smells of brown sugar, sweet malts and a hint of earthy spicy hops. Taste follows the nose fairly well and adds a hint of diacytl. Medium to thin body, moderate level of carbonation with a slick almost creamy mouthfeel. Middle of the road brown ale that while not offensive it was also nothing spectacular. This sure did go down easy inside in the air conditioning on a blistering 90+ degree day. jake65 (4000) - Meridian, Idaho, USA - JAN 31, 2011
Tap @ Brewpub: Pours a dark copper/amber color with a modest beige head. Mild nose is fairly sweet. Tastes malty and has some light florals. A little caramel. Sweet fruity yeast pokes through. Not something I’d have again.
