Pour on tap at the brewery, dark orange pour with white head, aroma brought grain, bread, some trash, yeast, some earth into some slight fruit. Taste was a mix of dark caramel, bread, touch of dough, some trash, hints of yeast, slight fruity notes, finishing sweet, slightly bitter. Huhzubendah (3705) - Washington DC, USA - JUN 28, 2014
On draft at the brewery.
The beer is dark copper to amber with a sparse beige collar. The aroma offers sweet, fruity malts, biscuits, earthy hops. Decent flavor, though body is too thin for a nearly 7% abv beer - which brings me to my next point. I’d like a beer of this ill to be maltier with lower alcohol content, making it more sessionable. Growler poured a clear amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of toasted malt, earthiness, tobacco and light fruittiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth dry finish. Flavors of carmel, earthiness, tobacco and light fruittiness with a smooth dry lingering earthy finish.
